Comfortable.

Ugh I have never slept so good.

It feels so cool, like... Spongy..

Opening my eyes, I realized I was on another one of those sponge bed things.

Where am I..

I have strange ways of never knowing where I am when I wake up.

But this place, I have never been in before.

It had light blue marble walls. A thin curtain replaced an entire wall, stretching all the way to the floor. It was a sheer material so I could see straight through. On the opposite side of the curtain, were large pillars on the edge of a landing, the same color as the walls.

Am I in Aquaris?

Wait..

This can't be the..

No way. Impossible.

But was it..?

I'm in the Aquarius kingdom?

I swam towards the curtain, pushing my way past it and out onto the landing.

Oh. My. Gosh.

I am in a room on the second floor of Axarion's kingdom.

This is unbelievable.

And the sight.

I could see half of the city from this point.

Beautiful blue marble houses where everywhere.

Colorful mermaids and mermen were swimming all around.

It's like a rainbow of fish people.

The most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen..

I CANT WAIT TO MEET EVERYBODY!!!

I darted to the door of my room, just as it opened, and Axarion's face appeared.

A look of relief flashed across his face when he saw me. "Oh thank Atlantis. Your awake."

I looked at him puzzled. "Why the big worry?"

"You were unconscious for three days."

What? When did that happen?

"Wow. Really? Yikes.. Well I'm fine now."

"Are you sure?"

Is that concern I hear in his voice?

"Yeah I'm sure. CAN I GO MEET THE AQUARIANS AND SEEE THE CITY AND KINGDOM NOW?!?!?!?"

He seemed to be thinking it over.

"Alright.. I guess."

"YAY YA YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!" I lunged at him, hugging his muscular form.

He was caught off guard and fell backward onto the floor as I plummeted into him.

"Haha. Woah there."

Getting off him, I wiggle around, excited. "Where do we start??"

"Hmmm.. How about the city? That way you can meet the people here."

"Ok! Yay! Let's go!"

"Hold on a second. You need to know how to act around these people. Every single one of them know who you are. Many years ago, a king was given a vision. The one with the aqua tail, holds the fate of all our cities and lives. These people expect you to be a good roll model, and strong. They are already depending on you, and first impression will make a huge difference."

I still don't know what I'm supposed to do with this, ''fate of all the peeps.' Like, is the pressure on, or what?

Now I'm nervous, we are swimming, almost out of the kingdom and in the midst of the city. I hate people depending on me. And being expected to act a certain way? That's just not a good thing to put on me.

I think I'm gonna be sick again... Ugh..

As we get to the area of the first mermaids/men, a cool calmness came over me. I can do this. All's good. I got this bro.

Dang I wish I had gotten this feeling when I was Emma and on land. It would have saved me so many times. From all the bullying... From my mom...

Whatever.

A lovely mermaid smiled at me. She had bright pink tail, her hair was long and curly, and light brown on one side of her head, and pink on the other, also... Her EYES are pink! It looks so pretty!

I swam up to her, with new confidence.

"Hello! My name is Aquema. What's yours?"

Her eyes shined with admiration. "Quesia. Your the one, aren't you? The vision queen?"

Queen..?

Huh.

Haha.

"Yes that's me!"

"Amazing. You don't know how glad and relieved we all are that you have finally came! It has been forever since king Gornad had that vision. It's a shame he isn't here to see his vision come alive.."

A look of sadness crossed her face.

"Is he.. Um.."

"Dead? Yes. I'm his granddaughter." She lost all look of sorrow and became merely excited. "He used to tell me all about his vision! I made him tell me it every single night since he first told me of it."

"Ooh wow. Haha I'm honored to meet you."

"What? You honored to meet me? Haha I'm pretty sure it's completely the other way around. Ooooh!" She squealed. "Can I show you around? I would love to give you a tour."

"Well Axarion was going to-"

"Sounds like a great idea!" Axarion swam up from behind. "I have a million things to get to, and you need to bond with the Aquarians. So what better way than to be shown around by Quesia here?"

"Ok! Yay!" Gosh I'm like a little teenage fan girl.

"Great! Come on! This way Aquema!" Quesia was just as excited as me.

I can tell we are going to be best friends.

She squirmed around, spinning in circles.

This girl was really too much.

I mean, she reminds me so much of me.

Yep. Immediate best friends. For sure.

"Ooooh! Looky! Come meet my friend!" She twirled away to a merman with his back to us, going about his business.

I noticed how Quesia calmed herself before making her presence known to the merman. She suddenly adapted to a cool and sweet attitude.

"Hey!"

"Quesia! Hey! How's it going?" The merman's green eyes lit up when he saw her.

"Great! Oh, I want you to meet my friend, Aquema." She signaled to me.

His eyes darted over to me, directly starring at my tail. "She's... She's the one..."

I smiled. "Hello. It's very nice to meet you."

"You too! My great Atlantis.. I never thought you would really come.."

"Proves just how little faith you have." Quesia became amused and nudged her quite good-looking friend with her shoulder.

Who's tail is a dark green with gold flecks. (Every mermaid seems to have gold flecks.) he had a tattoo of an anchor on his arm. His hair was short and spiky like, the tips being slightly green.

The way Quesia looked at him and acted around him...

I wonder if..

Mhmmmm haha we shall get to that later.

"Oh, excuse me! I never introduced myself. The name's Darlis."

Darlis stuck out his hand for me to shake.

I generously took it and gently shook it.

"Well, we've got to get a move on. Aquema still has a lot of Aquarians to meet, and a lot of places to see!"

"Ok, right. Well I'll see you around Aquema! Bye Quesia." He shot Quesia a smile that had her melting. She kept it well hidden though. Aquema almost didn't catch it.

As they swam away, Aquema just kept her eyes on Quesia.

Quesia let out her breath.

Had she been holding that in all this time?

"My gosh.. He's so... Perfect.." It came out as less than a whisper.

"You like him don't you?"

She looked at me quickly, before looking away just as fast, blushing. Apparently she hadn't meant for me to hear that.

"Umm... Well.... I.... Yeah."

"Omg! I knew it! Awwwww y'all would make such a perfect couple!"

She blushed even more but with a hint of disappointment. "Yeahh.. But it's never gonna happen.."

"What!? Why not?"

"Because.. He's so... And I'm just.."

"Hun, you are gorgeous. No joke. He's not out of your league either. Your league is the highest there can be."

"Awwwww thanks! For real that is so sweet. But there's also Fradjas..."

"Who's that?"

"His on and off girlfriend. She claims to be a sort of French mermaid. That's why the name is so odd. But I'm one of the few that know and believe the truth. She saw some French people on a boat once and admired their fancyness. So when she came here, she just changed her name, and tries to talk in a French accent. Lucky for her, not many mer's have ever heard a real accent, so they can't tell that it's fake. But anyway, she's perfect and just beautiful. There's no way he will leave her for me for a million clams."

"Well you never know. And fake people never get a real guy. Guys may be stupid to fall for them, just because they think she is really all that, but when the guys get to know them, they realize just how fake they are. Guys never want fake girls. Girls that are themselves are much more attractive any day."

"Hmm.. That makes sense! But they've been together for about two years.."

"Well, maybe he has never dated a real girl, so doesn't know how much better they, *cough*you*cough*, are."

"Haha! Oh my, I love you already Aquema." She smiled kindly and gratefully at me. "Now, enough about my pathetic love life. Let's get on with this tour!"

Ok, so I totally went against my good judgment and wrote more soooo even though it's not that interesting, here's the update.
