What the heck is that.

It's screams pierced my ears.

Many screams now.

How many things are out there!?

The banging on glass...

They must be trying to break into the force surrounding the city.

What if they get through!?

WHAT ARE THEY!?

"Aquema!" Axarion's voice made me jerk around to face him.

The horror he must have seen in my eyes.

"Come! Now!"

Chills pinching up my spine, I clung to Quesia and followed quickly.

I don't know where we are going, but it's deeper into the center of the kingdom.

We entered one large room, and the door shut behind us.

It blocked the screams.

Oh thank Atlantis.

"Aquema. Are you alright?" Axarion looked me deep into my eyes.

I was determined to gather enough brain and strength to nod.

Thankfully I was able to.

"Thank Atlantis. Quesia? What about you? Are you ok?"

"Yes, I'm fine."

I'm in compete and utter horrific shock.

"I think," Axarion examined me more closely. "it's time for some explaining."

Quesia had me sit down and we all began to relax.

Yes including me. Though I am still staying very quite.

"Ok, Aquema. Those things out there.. They are the one creature I didn't tell you about. They are called... Delomcios. And what they are... are half decayed mermaids. Flesh missing, bones showing... All that. They are dead. Not physically. But mentally. They have been turned into something horrible. Only one merman ever did this to others. And the power has since been banned from all kings. This man... The one that began all of this.. Is Aquaris. The founder of our city. He was reported dead a few years ago. But he was removed from the thrown because of this. He wanted to create armies of these... Dead Aquarians. He was determined that the way to win every battle was to have these in our control. Only problem was, they can not be controlled. They kill everyone. Everyone except the one who kills them, Aquaris himself. We have major trouble killing them because they are nearly impossible to kill. Mainly because they are already dead inside. Well, it wasn't long before the counselors of our city became known to the fact that king Aquaris was greedy. He wanted to use these things the gain control over the entire ocean, and all of its kingdoms. So they threw him out, and banished the power from all future kings incase they used it for evil purposes too. Many mermaids and mermen go missing and are never seen again. Some are killed and eaten. Others are turned. An attack is coming. The day they break through the force of our city, is the day we will be doomed. But then, that will change because of you. I'm not sure how. But all I know is that you, will save us."

This, is going to be worse than I thought...

"But.... I can't.."

"Yes you can Aquema. You were born for this."

"No! I can't do this!" I said overwhelmed, while standing and backing up, heading towards a different door than the one we came through to get here. "I can't fight some, zombie mermaid things! I'm not a fighter! I'm a loser that isn't worth anything! I fail at everything! I can't do this!"

I stopped. A tear trailing down my cheek. "I'm sorry.. I'm not the one you have been waiting for."

Now what's gonna happen? Did she just back out of helping them? Does she even have a choice? WILL SHE EVER GET A PET JELLYFISH!?!?!?!?!

Haha sorry again for the short update. But I'm really tired and it's packed with information, so I hope that makes up for it!
