Supers (Malira)

Kira hits the side of the building before falling with a hard thump, and she sighs. "Is that all you've got, Ice face?" Kira says, flipping to get up and she swings her sword through the air quickly as she feels her fire licking through her hands and trailing to her clothes.

The Ice Man, his name is more clever than that but Kira doesn't care since he's been on a killing spree lately, and he shoots ice out of his fingers to her face but she twirls her sword to block it from her face. "Die, Firestarter." He shouts, and Kira stomps her foot.

"It's Fire Fox!" Kira snaps, kicking him in the stomach as she turns around. She is so tired of people getting her name wrong. Kira dodges another ice bar being thrown at him, but she gets hit in the side with one which makes her fall to her side. Kira groans in pain, and she touches her side to feel that she's bleeding. "Shit." Kira bemoans, groaning when the Ice villain steps on her back before he pulls her head up by her hair.

"You have a lot to learn." He says, and Kira shivers as she feels ice cold as he freezes her. Kira feels her eyes sliding shut until there's a loud crash before the cold stops suddenly, and Kira rolls over to her back to see the Coy pushing the man down before stepping on his neck after handcuffing him. Kira never stays long enough to talk to the police, the jewelry store had to have an alarm system that's been going off, and Kira limps towards the exit to get away in time.

"You're hurt." Coy says, jumping down from the building to land next to Kira. "You can't do this by yourself. You need a partner." She adds on, and Kira rolls her eyes as she tries to focus on healing instead of listening to this woman.

"I had it. I don't need a partner or help." Kira tells her, standing up as straight as she can. "Especially not one that's as hard to work with as you." Kira supplies, earning herself a frown from the fellow super.

"You didn't have it. You were about to die." Coy tells her. "And I'm not hard to work with. I just follow the rules like we have too." Coy says, following after her as she sees Fire Fox walking away from her. "Fire." Coy calls, and Kira sighs.

"Fine, Coy. Next time I go into battle or answer a call from the Sheriff. I'll let you know so you can help me." Kira says, and Coy smiles at her as she nods her head.

"Good." Coy says, waving at her before she disappears into the night.

"You're home early." Kira says, sipping her coffee as she watches her best friend walk into their apartment. "Did you have a good night at work? I'm sure it was super busy at the in and out diner." Kira teases.

"No, it was too busy. But I had a really good night." Malia says, smiling at her. "I've got to run errands today." She tell her, and Kira nods her head. "Hey, did you see the news? Fire Fox and Coy are working together. Cool, huh?" Malia says, enjoying talking about her alter ego.

"Yeah. Its okay." Kira says, a little bored. Malia sighs, her best friend just doesn't care for supers.
