I know this is not an excuse or justification for his actions, but he was right. Just because you were made a certain way doesn't mean you have to do what you are intended to be made for. Because you aren't really 'made for' anything but for being yourself.
Call me whatever you want, but I would have had joined the Decepticons in the begining.
All villains are put in such category because they think differently than most and speak up against their leaders.
