Amery felt someone shaking her gently and she stirred from her sleep and woke up. They were in front of the palace. This was the first time she saw it in the day time. It was a five story large mansion. The building was a yellow cream color and it was beautiful. She followed behind her father realizing her Axon and the guards were here. Rachel was holding a sleeping Lacey. They went inside following the king’s guards. They were in a big dining room and the table was beautifully set. Everyone took their seats and she realized she was the last one standing. Amery sat down in the middle between Oliver and Axon. She heard her phone go off and her father shot her daggers. She forgot to turn her phone off before they enter the house. Amery took her phone out of her bag and she pressed ignore call on her phone and she shut off the volume and shut off her iPod making sure to get rid of any sounds.
The King entered the room. Well actually it’s the expired king. Lionel.
“Hello Alpha Axon and Adam. I’m glad you are here to join us for lunch today. How are you?” asked Lionel sitting down in a chair having a friendly smile.
“Hello Lionel. It is also an honor to be here to eat lunch with you. We are actually all doing fine. Just a little nervous yet calm also” said Adam.
“Oh please nothing to be nervous about just relax we are still old friends. Just like always and no need to be so formal and tense that’s only with enemies” said Lionel with a laugh lightening up the mood and everyone joined in.
Food was being served. It was the option of salad or soup. Everyone told what they wanted and their glasses got filled with whatever option was offered.
Amery sat there quietly while everyone was talking to each other. She was texting her gay friend Randy and her other friend Natalia. She smiled as they told her what went on in school yesterday. She didn’t show up because she got a stomach ache so with all the gossip filling in she laughed to herself quietly. Amery raised her hand and everyone stopped talking.
“Yes” asked Lionel.
“Alpha…I mean…Mr. Jems…I was wondering…If it’s ok with you…if I may go to the restroom? Please?” say Amery. She wasn’t used to talking to royals. She was worried if one messed up word they have her head.
“Of course you may” Lionel did a breathless laugh with a smile. “Madison!” one of the maids rushed in bowing with a smile.
“Yes sir?” asked the girl who was to be about twenty one and had pink blond hair.
“Could you escort Ms. Amery to the restrooms please” asked Lionel and Madison did a smile nod. Amery followed Madison out the room as everyone continued talking.
Amery followed the maid down the hall and turned down another and stopped in front of the door. Madison opened it and there stood an all-white medium sized bathroom.
“Thank you Madison” said Amery and Madison smiled with a nod and walked away.
Amery closed the bathroom door and did her business. She washed her hands and then she dried them. She saw there was a little bottle of lotion, and put some on. She fixed herself and she left the bathroom turning the light off and closing the door behind her. Amery started walking back to the dining room. She kept walking and realized she forgot where to go. She turned down a hallway and then turned down another and was at a dead end. Or so she thought until it rounded to another hallway. Amery turned around and walked down the hallway until someone ran into her and water was splashed on her and she was on the ground.
