Amery woke up in an all-white room. She sat up and rubbed her head. The door opened and the doctor walked in holding a clip board.
"I see you're awake. After half a month we were worried you were going to wake up later in the year." spoke the doctor.
Amery sat there and had a question. She tried speaking but nothing came out. She tried again but her voice came out scratchy. Amery drank some water and put it back on the small table. She went to speak again, but nothing came out. Amery started panicking, tears blurring her eyes. She went to touch her throat but froze when she felt a bandage covering her throat, where the vampire cut with a knife. Amery's eyes blurred with tears and the doctor noticed. He tried nearing her but she freaked screaming out in a silent cry but it sounded with silent whispers. The doctor tried calming her but Amery threw the pillow at him. Her mind was going fast and the lights were flickering. Amery unhooked herself and she got up. The doctor tried grabbing her but she put her hands out in front of her and pushed him through the door knocking him out in the hallway against the wall. She didn't mean to hurt him though. Amery heard a siren go off and she panicked more. She ran out the room and she ran down the long hallway and went out the big double doors. She turned and saw the security guards coming out after her along with other doctors. Amery turned and locked the doors.
Her head really started to hurt and she ran off noticing she was back at the Alpha's house. She kept running and she ran downstairs and down the hall. She reached outside, and saw the house in the distance. She took of running for five minutes. She finally was at the front of the house and ran inside,.slamming the door behind her. She saw some pack members and they stopped and stared at her. Amery froze and looking at each one of them. Amery heard yelling behind her and she took off. She was about to run out the front doors when she was tackled to the ground. She panicked and touched their skin, hearing a yelling and they back off of her. Amery was on the ground and she shook and the pack warriors stood there breathing heavily. She looked around and some pack members were there along with the doctors. Amery looked down and her skin was changing a tan color. Her wings came out and wrapped around her.
"What's going on?" spoke a strong voice and Amery shook and noticed it was the Alpha Ryder. Everyone backed off giving Amery and the alpha space.
"What are you doing out of bed?" he asked her and Amery shook and looked around wondering who he was talking to.
"Alpha. They are here" said one of the wolves. Everyone immediately walked away giving privacy.
The doors slammed open and Bryan and Amery's uncle walked in. Amery returned to her regular skin tone and ran to her uncle embracing him. She shook in his arms as he held her.
"What the hell is wrong with her neck!" her uncle roared. He glared mostly at Ryder and Bryan did the same.
"She got hurt in the woods. Vampires trespassed on my land" said Ryder with a growl.
"We will talk about this in the office" said her uncle. Ryder and Amery's uncle went to the office while Bryan took her upstairs making sure she was settled and she was resting. He made sure to assign a doctor to come check on her. When done, he went back downstairs and to the office.
"You were supposed to protect her" said Amery's Uncle banging on the desk. He was tied of coming back and his niece was hurt. Was it that hard to ask a strong alpha, known in the family, to watch her?
"I was-
"Bullshit! You just told me she lost her voice! She may never get it back. What am I supposed to tell her? I'm starting think this Alpha role should only be given to your brother, since you don't how to fucking protect someone in the pack and more importantly your land and your mate" her Uncle ranted.
"I will not give away my title! I am alpha!-
"Then fucking be one don't act like one! You're lucky she didn't die, when you have yet to accept her" spoke her Uncle in a cold voice.
"The real reason I came here was not to visit Amery. I was already one my way until you called me. You're lucky I'm not taking your title away from you. I have come here to discuss a war coming but now I see who they are after. It is best for Amery to come live with me in Persia." Spoke her Uncle.
"What?! You're not taking her away!" yelled both the twin Alphas looking at him like he was mad.
"What do you propose we do?! She is the main target and your security isn't strong yet. You need to train your pack more. Get them ready for war. At that time they won't come here, because her scent will disappear. You will have the advantage to change. You will come to Persia with your pack in three months. You will train and work together with my pack" explained her Uncle.
"She doesn't know who we are" said Bryan.
"That's not my problem. She will remember, just give her time. Other than that, her safety is better off the lands and into distant lands" said her Uncle.
Bryan and Ryder shared a conversation and talked for thirty minutes and finally agreed.
"We will let her go. We will arrive to Persia in three months" said Bryan and Ryder tried calming his wolf.
"Good, we will leave today" said her uncle and the Alpha's head snapped up.
"What do you mean today?" asked Ryder.
"She is in danger, she cannot stay here another day. They will come for her. These vampires are vicious and will destroy anything and anyone to get their hands on her. It's either her or your Kingdom falls" said her Uncle. He looked at the both, deadly in the eyes. They really didn't have a choice. All they could do, was strengthen their pack.
Amery finished packing her bags. She had no idea why she was leaving. Her uncle said he'd explain later while on the plane. Amery finished packing and she looked at her room and all there was, was just furniture and the bedspread still neatly made and everything else was empty looking like a plain guest room. Amery made it downstairs and the rest of her bags were already in the car. Amery wasn't sure who to say bye to but she quickly waved bye. She suddenly stopped and hugged Ryder and Bryan giving a peck on their cheeks and mouthing thank you. Amery got in the car and it quickly drove off leaving the fading view of the twin Alphas. Amery felt a tug at her heart and smiled, letting them know everything, whatever it was, will be okay.
