Stiles' thumbs continuously rub over my clasped hands as we sit on the beige couch in Kira's living room. Isaac, Lydia, and Scott went to the sheriff's station to be questioned about Allison's death after Mr. Argent planted the same story in their minds. A story that was nowhere close to the supernatural world and seemed like they were jumped. Kira's mom said that Stiles couldn't stay there, not with the Nogistune still out there. They brought him to their house and he refused to leave without me.
My right leg jives up and down with anxiety. Stiles repeatedly told me that it wasn't my fault that Allison was dead, but it was clear that I wasn't the only one who thought that it was.
My feet lead me over to where everyone is hovering around Scott as he clutches Allison's dead body in his arm. His body is hunched over hers, sobbing. Stiles leans against my left side to keep himself from falling over again, too weak from passing out. His body can barely handle everything. Lydia races past us, falling to her knees beside Allison, clutching her pale hand in her own.
"No, no, no." Lydia whispers under her breath. "This wasn't supposed to happen. You weren't supposed to be here." She sobs over her best friend.
My own legs wobble beneath me as I continue to stare at Allison's body. If I had just focused on the fact that I couldn't see her future and pushed on it, I could have stopped this. I could have prevented this somehow. I could have made sure that Allison didn't come. I could have down something.
A hand snakes around my right wrist, whipping me around to face the person. Stiles stumbles a little before he regains his balance, able to stand on his own. Isaac hovers above me, standing completely straight and jabs a finger in my direction with his hand still on my wrist.
"This is all your fault!" Isaac raises his voice.
My lips part in shock as I realize what he means. I start to shake my head and start to apologize, but he cuts me off before I can even utter a word.
"You're supposed to be the psychic here and you couldn't even tell us that she was going to die! You could have saved here!" Isaac shouts at me, angrily.
"Isaac-" Stiles holds a hand up about to step in front of me.
"No!" Isaac shoves his hand away. His attention solely focused on me as his voice grows louder with every word. "You're the one that sees the future! Why didn't you see this? Huh?" Isaac steps closer to me, intimidatingly.
I suck in a deep breath, scared and knowing that he's right. Unable to hold back anymore tears, I let it all out as I listen to what Isaac has to say. He's right on every level."I- I'm sorry! I tried to see more of the future, but I couldn't- something is blocking me-"
"Oh, bullshit!" Isaac screams. He takes another step closer until Stiles slides between the small gap and forces me behind him.
"Isaac, enough!" Stiles surprises me by shouting. "If you want to blame someone, blame me! I'm the reason the Nogistune is killing people. Blame me, not Corie."
"We don't have time for this." Chris Argent, Allison's father, states in urgency. "The police will be here soon and we need to make sure everyone has the same story."
Isaac glowers at me over Stiles' shoulder for several seconds. Nothing but hatred and blame is seen on his face towards me. He spins around and punches the closest object near him, which happened to be an old barrel. The noise echoes throughout the area and I jump from the loudness.
"I'm sorry..." I mumble to everybody that is within earshot. "I'm so sorry."
Kira's mother, Noshiko, hands over two small, brown mugs filled with some dark liquid. The smell is sweet, like some kind of tea. "Here, it'll calm you." She states once the two of us grab the mugs. She settles down on the couch a little bit away.
