After about ten minutes of constant misses and bad hits, I gave up, huffing at my surrender. Sam rolled on the ground on top of his racket, he was laughing as hard as he could. Jack was sitting down on the floor, leaning against the fence and reading a book, one leg was up to his chest. I ignored Sam's hysteria and joined his twin.

I dropped my racket on the floor next to him and sighed in defeat. Jack quietly chuckled and put down his book, using his finger as a bookmark.

"How does it feel to lose?"

"Shut up," I nudged him playfully. I slid down the fence, panting as he resumed in reading his book. Looking at his face, I smiled and realised something. "I have warmed up to you a lot, considering it is still my first day." I closed my eyes for a while. When I opened them again, Jack was watching me, not creepily or anything, but curiously.

"That is very true. It's almost as though you have known us all for a while." He stated, kindly smiling.

It was true; it did feel like I had known them for ages. Vinariah, Sam, Jack and Robin...

"What book is that?" I asked him, noticing the cover. It showed a man plunging from the heavens. His pitch black wings were shedding feathers, they surrounded him like a cloud of misery.

"Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick. Why? Interested? It is a very good book," He spoke delicately, his crystal eyes fixed on mine a loose strand of golden hair in front of his eyes.

I remembered the time that we had both gone into the chess room- or 'lyceum' as he had called it- and when he had to say the name of a book to her to get past the librarian, Elizabeth, almost like a key. Vinnie and Sam had said one too. I asked him about it. His looked confused.

"Don't you know? It's a password." He answered, shifting his body to face me. I traced my finger across the frame of the racket. He carried on. "We each have individual ones, Robin should have given you one by now. Mine is Hush Hush." Held up the book so I could see it clearer.

"Is Robin the 'leader' of your group?" I questioned him. Once again, he looked confused.

"He is... anyway, let's go ask him for a password." He suggested shaking his head. He grabbed my hand to pull me up. With his help, I jumped up and allowed myself to be led to the other side of the courts. Sam was wiping tears from his eyes and Vinnie was fanning herself with Sam's racket. Robin, however, was sunbathing his pale skin in the hot sun. He hadn't changed colour at all. Before Jack or I could ask, Robin spoke up.

"Of Poseidon by Anna Banks." He opened one black eye to look from Jack to me, causing me to blush lightly from his beautiful stare. "That is your password. I will have it registered by tomorrow."

He slowly stood up with the help of Jack and dusted some imaginary dirt off his muscular legs. He shook his head and messed up his hair, then with one limp hand, fixed it again.

What was the point in that?

"Okay," Jack swiveled around and began to walk towards Sam. He raised one arm above his shoulder and waved dismissively, waving me goodbye. "bye Octavia, see ya in I.T!"

I was left all alone. With Robin. The boy who had a knife; the boy forced me to have a pill. I subconsciously shuffled away from away from him.

"Something the matter, Octavia?" He asked blankly, staring at a match on the court next to us; Logan VS some guy who had no chance. I stopped moving and looked at him. His cheekbones were so sharp and defined; his hair was spiky but soft; his cold eyes froze my movements, even if he wasn't looking at me. He turned to me and took a step closer. I felt my face heat up. I wanted to push him away for what he did to me... wait, what had he done?

"D-Did you g-give me a p-pill? On the f-first day that we m-met?" I stuttered. I could feel the intensity of his stare. I stared at the ground, avoiding his stare.

He remained silent. A couple of seconds passed before he said anything. I swallowed.

"I'm guessing you remembered then," he said, completely shocking me. I looked up at him in dread. His expression softened when he saw my face. "You had fallen. That pill numbed the pain until it healed. Do your legs or head hurt?" I shook my head. "Well then, you have me to thank for that." He added before walking away. He quietly left the courts, walked across the empty road and entered the science building. Was he annoyed with me?

I was completely frozen. Was he speaking the truth? Then what was that on my ne-

"Oi! Octavia!" Sam knocked me out of my thoughts. "I never thought I'd beat you! How funny is that? Although that is probably the only thing I will beat you at." Sam made me smile, breaking my chain of thought. I pushed him with my shoulder and picked up my black bag, throwing it roughly on my back. Sam and Vinnie did the same and picked the rackets. I turned back to court fourteen, picking up a tennis ball from the floor. I sighed. There were three balls- from my match, Robin and Vinnie's previous match and another. Only because Jack decided to take one to keep him company. I bent down and picked up a second one from the tall, dry grass.

Suddenly, I felt a strong tug on the back of my blazer. I took a step back to steady myself, only to trip over something. I began to fall backwards, totally unaware that I had stumbled over a person.

I closed my eyes, expecting sudden impact. Then, ever so softly I landed on something comfy. I slowly opened my eyes.

"Quite the beauty." A soft voice spoke from next to me. I turned my head to him and pushed back slightly. A pale boy with cosmic blue hair and deep blue eyes sat there, one arm folded over his lap and the other one was pulling delicately at my curls. My eyes widened slightly at the sight, then, as fast as a cheetah, I leapt to my feet.

I was sitting on. Top. Of. Him.
