I whipped my head around to see an attractive thin boy sitting cross-legged on a round wooden table with a rather large book in his hands. Ronan.
"I guess," I answered him, not really wanting to start a conversation. I remembered what Jack told me about him, flippin' sadist. I thought back to an hour ago when he tripped me up and I frowned, turning away from him. I felt him smile. Jumping off the table, he placed a dainty hand on my shoulder and spun me around. He was only about an inch taller then me but he made me feel small. I glared at him but he didn't move away, instead he pulled me back to the table and sat me down.
I remained seated but shuffled a few inches away from him, I didn't feel comfortable sitting next to a sadist. God knows what he'll try and do to me. I glanced back up at him to see him smiling down at me, his big blue eyes seemed to lock my gaze. He chuckled and put a loose strand of his blue hair behind his ear.
"You guess? Do you not feel that with just one passage you can be thrown into a whole new world of fantasies? And sometimes if it is especially descriptive you can almost walk around as the main character in your mind," He tapped the side of his head before finely sighing and lifting up the large book in his hands. His big eyes scanned the front cover, "That is why I can never put this book down... truly astounding." He told me delicately. I felt a shiver go down my spine, not in fear but in surprise. That's exactly what I think when I read books.
"You too? What's your favourite book?" I asked him excitedly.
He closed the book silently and placed it on my lap. I picked it up and flipped it over in my hands. Reading the blurb, I began to get intrigued. The Catcher in the Rye. I held onto it for a couple more seconds and Ronan stood up.
"Would you like it?"He asked me. "It's my book so you may have it. I've it thousands of times, I wouldn't really miss it."
I looked up at him to see a small smile adorning his handsome features. I think Jack was wrong about him, he doesn't seem mad at all. Although, looks can be deceiving.
"I can't do that, it's yours," I stood up and straightened my tie. "plus I barely know you. See ya." I shouted back to him before handing him back the book. As I was walking away, I was stopped by a hard tug on the back of my blazer, nearly causing me to fall over. Again? Seriously?
"Can you not." I ordered him. He smirked.
"I was just going to ask you when I would see you again. Same time tomorrow maybe? Here?"
I blushed.
"Sure, I don't see why not. See you then. Bye." I nodded and hurried off to borrow a book. I had forgotten about Jack.
When I got back, Jack was sitting at the table facing me. He didn't seem to notice me returning. As I got closer I cleared my throat and sat down. He didn't look up from the book.
"Is it that good?" I asked him. He nodded into his book, still not looking up.
Deciding it was best not to disturb him, I opened my book and began to read. I didn't know what book I had picked up, but it seemed interesting. I think it was called 'This Book Is Not Good For You". Every now and then I would try to make small talk, but this time I was a lot more careful with what I asked. There were no questions about family, just things about his favourite food and drink.
"Noodles and Earl Grey." He would answer. Then when I asked about the weather, he told me he was a pluviophile. Pets; he was an ailurophile. I would ask questions, and he would answer. After twenty minutes, he told me it was my turn.
"Favourite food, drink, animal and weather." He asked.
"Sushi, Fanta Fruit Twist and chocolate milk, rain and I prefer dogs."
We glared at each other jokingly, as if to say 'it's on'. Our sudden 'rivalry' stare was broken by a pair of arms wrapping around my neck from behind.
"How's my little Ocelot?" He asked me, pulling away from me and sitting next to Jack.
"Hello Sam," I said, reading the time off my watch. He should still be in lesson. "Sam, why are you here? You should still be in Programming class."
"Oh yeah, I got kicked out." He replied simply. I laughed and he carried on. "She told me to wait outside but I saw you two lovebirds sitting here, and so I decided to join you!"
Jack flicked Sam on the forehead.
"If anyone here are lovebirds, it's you and Vinariah. I've seen the way you look at her." An irritated teen told his brunette twin.
Sam leaned forward on the table and rested his head on one of his hands, the other one was inching towards my hand. He grabbed it, making me put the book down.
"If anyone, it would be my dear Ocelot." He cooed, kissing my knuckles.
I felt my face heat up as he tightened his grip on my hand, but I forced it back and picked up my book, once again burying my face in it. I hopefully looked at his twin. Then, something that I had never seen on his face before shocked me... was it...
