-Chapter 29-

I put the book on my lap and zipped the bag shut. I wouldn't be needing it.

I read the page about swapping souls. There were some intricate moves with your arms and your legs. There were five incantations to be said at certain times. You had to do it on the hour.

I checked the time on the phone I was calling myself on.

11:55pm.

Now or never.

I stood up with the book in my hand, reading carefully. If I swapped our souls again, would we switch back, or would I make it permanent?

Just as I was about to try it, the door began to slide open.

(A/N: I was going to stop it here but then decided not to torture you with suspense)

*~*~*

I jumped. I shoved the book under the bed and jammed the necklace under my shirt. I picked up the phone again just in time.

Zayn and Louis were carrying the arms and legs of a sleeping Harry, with Niall and Liam trailing behind, snickering. I would've laughed out loud if I wasn't Jon... and if I wasn't so nervous.

I turned to face the bunk.

"Hey, it was nice talking to ya. I'll see you tomorrow!" I said to a very confused Jon, then hung up.

I whirled around. "H-Hey guys! I guess I should give you your space,"

My phone started to ring again, but I fumbled with the END button in my pocket.

Liam yawned. "Are you alright, Jon? You're not acting like yourself,"

No, really??

"Nah, I'm just... tired. I'll see you in the morning, I guess,"

And with that, I left the room.

A/N

I do too many Author's Notes.

Out of curiosity, does anyone here understand the reference I made to a musical in the chapter title?

I can't stop myself. I'm sorry :D
