Ellie raced home on here horse after saying goodbye to Don. What would Joel think? Ellie arrived to the big gate where Bow sat up top on the watching point. "Back so soon?"  Bow was reading a book and didn't even look down at Ellie. "I guess I was a little- homesick..." Ellie shrugged. "Aw so you missed me?" Bow teased. Ellie laughed. "Joel here?" Ellie asked. "Uh.. No he's not. Last I heard he went fishing with Tommy at the lake near by." Bow looked down at Ellie. "Thanks." Ellie called and took off for the lake. When Ellie arrived at the lake, sure enough, Joel and Tommy were fishing. Ellie hopped off her horse and walked up to Joel. "Hey," Ellie looked at the water. "So how was your little forest trip?" Joel didn't look at Ellie. "Uh.. Ok? I guess.." Ellie was unsure what to say. She figured Joel would be flipping out, but that was not the case. "Tommy, why don't you keep on fishing? I need to talk with Ellie." Joel looked at Tommy who was smirking.

"Here we go." Ellie thought to herself. She knew she was going to be in big trouble. "Ellie, I'm sorry," Joel began. "Yeah I know but.... Wait, what did you say?" Ellie asked being very confused. "Ellie I'm sorry, for treating you like a baby." Joel started again. Ellie stared at him, this wasn't what she expected. "You know how I am about you. I just don't want you getting hurt." Joel somewhat smiled. Ellie was silent. She didn't know how to react. Ellie ran up and hugged Joel, who kindly accepted it. "Joel.." Ellie sobbed into his shirt. It had been a long time, as it felt like, since they had hugged.

The next day Ellie went back into the forest saying she was going hunting. What a lie. "Hey you're back!" Don smiled. "Why do you have to be so far in the forest?" Ellie laughed. "How'd you manage to get back?" Don smirked. "I have my ways..." Ellie smirked. "You lied?" Don guessed. "How'd you know?" Ellie gave him a look. "I have my ways." Both of them laughed. "So, do you plan to stay here forever?" Ellie asked. "If I were to find a place to stay. What about your settlement?" Don suggested. "Yeah Right. If they were to find out you came from Hunters, they'd think you're a spy." Ellie laughed. "Oh." Don somewhat frowned. It was then silent. "Hey... Do you hear that?" Don froze and listened. "Oh, Shit. The Settlement is under attack!" Ellie sat up. "Hey, let me come help, I got a plan for me to get in the settlement." Don grabbed onto Ellie's sleeve. "Well, then we need to hurry!" Ellie started to run.

Ellie and Don arrived at the settlement, and sure enough, they were under attack. "Bow, let us in!" Ellie called up. But Bow didn't respond. "This way!" Ellie pushed the big gate door back. Don followed Ellie and propped his gun. "You can probably tell who is in my settlement." Ellie explained. Ellie looked around and saw Joel crushing a hunter's skull in a building's foundation. Ellie and Don shot at more of the hunters until they were all dead. "Phew, that was awesome!" Don exclaimed. Joel and few others looked at Don. "Who the hell are you?" Joel walked up to Don. "Joel, I can explain." Ellie stood in front of Don. "You better explain fast," Tommy came up. Ellie looked at Don not knowing what to say.
