Bow and the others walked out, leaving Joel and Ellie alone. "There's gotta be something else we can do." Ellie looked up at Joel. Joel shook his head. "Ellie...." . "Joel! We can't just stand there and do nothing!" Ellie argued back. Joel rolled his eyes. Ellie glared at him. "Ellie, there is nothing we can do! It is over!" Joel argued back. Ellie sat silent, and then sat up walking out of the room. "If you're not going to do anything, then I will." Ellie whispered to herself. Ellie grabbed Joel's revolver that was inside his backpack and set off for the gate. She looked around cautiously, making sure no one saw her. She then slid past the gate into the woods.

They were doomed. And there's nothing to do, right? Joel closed his eyes and heard the door. "What is it?" Joel asked with his eyes still closed. It was Bow. He looked around. "Where's Ellie?" He asked. "Who knows. She's pissed at me for not knowing what to do." Joel shook his head. Bow frowned. "Well, are only choices are leave the settlement, or fight back." Joel frowned at the second choice. "And get our damn heads blown off?" Joel rolled his eyes. Joel sat himself up. "Can you walk?" Bow asked. "I'm fine." Joel shook his head. "Where the hell did that boy go?" Joel asked about Don. Bow shrugged. Joel stood and shook the jolting pain that shot through his leg off. "Let's go find those two." Bow suggested. Joel nodded and lead the way.

Ellie knew she was close by the smell of firewood burning. It looked as if it was around 5 o'clock. Ellie started to get second thoughts, but she knew what she should do. Ellie hid behind a tree, getting a view of a few of the hunters. Don had told her that his dad's name is Nathan. She closed her eyes and breathed. She then heard the name Nathan. She jolted and grabbed the revolver. "Any sign of the guy?" A man asked. "No, planning on attacking that group soon though." The other man said. "Nathan, we better do this soon, for your sake. The man said. Nathan nodded his head. Ellie held aim to the man's head. Her aim would be terrible from her shaking hand. "C'mon..." Ellie whispered. Ellie than shot at the man, which hit him the head. He fell to the ground and Nathan looked at Ellie. "Another one, huh?" Nathan grabbed his pistol and shot a few times, barely missing her. Ellie then sprinted, not looking back. It was raining hard, and it was now dark, making things hard to see. As looked back, she slipped and fell into the river. The current was strong. Even though she could somewhat swim, it made it hard for her to keep her head up. She paddled her arms as fast as she could, but nothing. "Help!" Ellie spit out some of the water. All of a sudden, a hand reached for her and pulled her out of the water. Ellie flailed and coughed out water. "Are you ok?" A voice asked. Ellie looked up and saw Don, who was kneeling by her side. Ellie sat herself up and hugged Don.

"Where the hell are they?" Bow asked as he walked inside Joel and Ellie's home. "Got some notion. Joel pointed to the gate. "Ah, Shit." Bow brought his hand to his forehead. "Some suicide mission, yeah?" Joel looked at Bow who agreed. Joel and Bow walked into Joel's room. "She took my damn revolver." Joel looked through his backpack. "Hey, ain't you got one of them El Diablo's?" Bow smirked. "Matter in fact.... I do" Joel grabbed out the gun from his backpack and chuckled. "Hey, they may have powerful bullets, but we got a powerful gun." Bow pat Joel on the back. "Alright, let's go find those two." Bow and Joel walked out of the cabin and headed for the forest.

Ellie and Don sat around a fire. Ellie shivered from her soaking wet clothes. "Here." Don took of his jacket and wrapped it around her. "T-Thanks." Ellie's teeth chattered. "Hey, uh, thanks for saving me. Joel tries to convince me that nobody's going to be there for me when i'm in trouble." Ellie shrugged. "You can always know that I'll always have your back," Don smiled. Ellie smiled back, and looked at how close they had gotten to each other. Though, she didn't find it weird. You know that one moment in life, where something just feels... Right? That's how Ellie felt. The two's lip's were then brought together, and the feeling of them being the only one's in the world.

"What the hell are you two doing!?" Joel yelled when he got site of the two kissing. Don quickly pulled back and blushed. "We....We weren't doing anything." Ellie quickly said. Joel gave Ellie an annoyed look. "So, that wasn't anything?" Joel pointed. "Sure as hell looked like it." Ellie looked up and rolled her eyes. She went to say something, but Joel quickly shushed her. "I, will talk to you later, it's him I want to talk to. Now let's get out of here." Joel said in a angry tone.

Don sat in a chair and waited for Joel. He twiddled his thumbs by the pressure. He was scared of what Joel could manage. By the looks of it, he's had a hard life. Joel walked passed Don and sat in a chair across from him. Don sighed. "Ok. Talk." Joel gave him a hard look. "Sir, I mean... Joel. I had nothing to do with this, I swear!" Don talked quickly. "Then why the hell are you here? Come here to kiss my daughter? So we can get attacked by a stronger group?" Joel continued give Don a hard look. "No! I-I came here because..." Don's voice trailed. "Because?" Joel asked impatiently. Don shook his head and rolled up his sleeve. "This." Don closed his eyes and frowned. Joel sat silently.

Joel barged out of the house and Ellie looked up. "He's infected?" Ellie looked up and didn't know what he was talking about until it hit her. "No, No. It's not like that. He's immune!" Ellie explained. Joel brought his hand to his forehead. "I know. You didn't believe it either when I first told you and Tess. Joel froze at the name. Ellie flinched slightly, knowing that he hates it whenever Tess or Sarah is brought up. "Now... why did you kiss that boy?" Joel spoke. "That boy has a name. It's Don. And... I don't know why." Ellie shrugged.
