"Sorry but I have to go. I've got to set up for a party tonight. I still have to buy shit for it."

"Yeah that's okay. I have to get ready anyway."

"Ready for what?"

"The party?" I said as if it was obvious.

"You're still coming tonight? I thought after what happened with Leah you wouldn't want to come."

"I just thought that..." I trailed off. "Maybe I shouldn't come."

"I think that's for the best. You wouldn't want to run into Leah would you?" He chuckled but I felt slightly hurt that he didn't want me to come.

"I guess not." I tried to smile back. "Bye Harry." He looked as though he was expecting another hug but I simply turned around and walked back to my car, not bothering for his response.

Harry is so confusing. One minute he is hugging and opening himself up to me and the next minute he is uninviting me to his party. I don't get it?

I got back to my dorm and laid down on my bed as I dialed Jace's number.

"Not cancelling on me are you Miss Piper?" He joked and I smiled at how he called me Miss Piper on the phone.

"Maybe..."

"What? I thought you wanted to go? What happened?"

"I just don't want to go anymore. Like you said parties aren't really my thing."

I decided against telling him Harry said I shouldn't come. I was already embarrassed enough by his rejection, I didn't need Jace to know too.

"But I already told my computer there was another woman. She won't take me back now. She's very hurt Piper." He joked and I giggled.

"Come on Pipe. Let's just go. I'll make sure you have a good time."

I kind of want to go just because Harry said I shouldn't but I also don't want him to react badly to my being there. But who cares what he thinks, he doesn't care for my feelings.

"Okay. Let's go."

"Great. Same time?"

"Same time." I agreed.

After I had another shower I applied foundation, black eyeliner, mascara and a little smoky eye shadow but only after watching a tutorial three times.

I searched through my wardrobe for something appropriate to wear to the party but I couldn't find anything except jeans. I checked my phone and I still had enough time to go out and buy something.

I straightened my hair and drove to the closet mall. I searched around a few shops until I found a small boutique. I spotted a black lace dress which was high neck and I immediately fell in love with it. There was also a matching pair of shoes which I also brought. I realized that I would need a strapless bra so I wanderer around the mall until I found the store I was looking for.

While I was trying a matching black lace underwear and bra I imagined what my mother would think of her daughter right now.

"Why do you need those Piper? Who is going to see them Piper? It better not be a boy Piper. You know better than that Piper."

I laughed quietly at the thought because no matter what she said she couldn't actually do anything about it because I was an adult.

I changed before purchasing the items and driving back to my dorm to finish getting ready.

I laid the clothing and shoes out on my bed before slipping on the underwear and bra. I looked in the full length mirror hanging on the back of the door and I smiled. I looked very different, but I liked it. I felt slightly sexy and it was an odd feeling to me. My mother never allowed anything like this in the house. She always said classic and classy was better than sexy and slutty, and back then I agreed. Now I know that sexy and slutty are not necessarily the same thing. You can look sexy without looking slutty, most girls do.
