"Where too?"
"Anywhere but here." I said.
I need to get away from Harry right now. I know that eventually he will come down here and find me but I didn't want to talk to him any further tonight. He can't just go around hitting people and he needs to know that.
"Wait here. I want a drink first. I came here to drink and I want to drink." I stated before walking into the kitchen.
I found a bottle of alcohol and without even reading what it was I poured some into two cups and mixed it with some soda. I tried some of mine and it tasted really nice so I had the whole cup and refilled mine before I took them back to Jace.
"Here you go." I handed him his cup but he declined it.
"I'm good thanks. I have to drive."
"More for me." I smiled and poured his drink into my cup. I drank half of my cup and wiped around my mouth with my hand.
"Woah, slow down there." Jace tried to pull my drink away from me but I was too quick.
"Ah, ah, ah. My drink." I chuckled and had the rest before he could take it again. "Oops. Look who needs a refill." I giggled and stood up.
"What did you put in this?" He asked.
"I don't know?"
"Show me."
"Yes sir." I mock saluted him and stumbled into the kitchen. "It was this stuff." I handed Jace the bottle and his eyes widened.
"Piper this is vodka. Have you been drinking this straight?"
"No of course not. I put a teensy bit of soda with it." I showed him with my pointer finger and thumb.
"Okay I think that's enough for you." He put the bottle away and I pouted.
"But I want another drink." I whined.
"You've had enough."
"I've only had two drinks. I can do what I want Jace. You're not my mother." I cackled loudly at my choice of words. "Mother! Ha ha. Cause you have a vagina. Cause you're a pussy." I burst out laughing again. Maybe I was a little tipsy.
"Please just come with me." He pleaded.
I shook my head no and that was when he realized he wasn't going to win. I was staying here whether he liked it or not.
"Fine. But I need to leave. It's almost twelve o'clock and I have to get up early tomorrow. Call me if you need a lift. I'll come and get you straight away, okay?"
"Okay. Bye Jace." I pulled him in for a hug and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Goodbye Miss Piper." He turned away and headed towards the door.
I grabbed the bottle Jace had put away and made myself another drink. I took it out into the living room and began to dance to the beat of the music. The alcohol in my system was making me more daring than usual, but I liked it. I liked the way that I felt free and at peace, I felt like myself.
A body came up from behind me and started dancing against me. I didn't object and simply swayed my body with his.
I downed the rest of my drink, threw the cup away and turned to face the stranger. He was quite attractive so I ran my hands threw his thick, blonde hair. His traced his hands up and down my body. I was getting into the music and really enjoying myself but that moment was ruined when he went in to kiss me. I pulled away but he kept coming closer and he had a tight grip on me, so tight that I couldn't break free.
"Let me go!" I screeched.
"Just one kiss baby. He slurred.
"No! Get off me!" I was still struggling to break free when I saw Harry race down the stairs and throw the stranger to the ground.
"Leave her alone." Harry said through gritted teeth. His fist went back and I knew what was about to happen and as much as the guy deserved it, I didn't want to see that again.
"Harry don't!" I begged. "Leave him alone."
He looked from me and back to the slug on the ground before getting close to his face to intimidate him. "Don't touch her again, you hear me?" The guy nodded quickly and stood up. "And get out of my house!" Harry yelled.
By now everyone was staring at the scene he had created and it made me extremely uncomfortable.
"Everyone dance or I swear to god the party's over." He barked and everyone turned away and continued to dance.
"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Harry gently held my wrists and looked for marks that the man might have left.
"I'm fine Harry." I pulled away and headed straight for the door.
"Where are you going?" He called after me.
I didn't bother to stop. I needed fresh air and I needed it now.
"Piper!"
I opened the front door and ran to the side walk. I took in deep breaths and tried to calm myself down.
"Why are you running from me?"
"I don't need you to save me Harry. I can look after myself. I could have handled that guy."
"Are you kidding me? I saw you 'handling' it and that sure as hell wasn't working. Why can't you just admit that you needed me?"
"Because I don't need anyone!" I snapped, yelling at the top of my lungs.
"You don't need anyone? Well fine. Now you've got one less person to bother you."
Harry stormed off and slammed his front door shut. This whole ordeal had nearly made me sober up but I could still feel some vodka running through my veins.
Before I could even register what was going on I was bending over the curb vomiting my lunch onto the concrete. I tried to pull my hair back on my own but it was too hard so I just let it fall over my shoulders.
After I had nothing left to hurl I searched for my phone until I realized I had left my clutch inside of the house and I really didn't want to see Harry again.
I now had to decide whether to start the long trek back to the dorms or face Harry after what I had just said to him.
