Weeks Later
"Are you almost ready the guest are waiting." Cassie said entering my bedroom.
"Yeah." I said putting in my last earring.
"So, how do I look?" I asked her as I spun around.
"Like hot mama." She said smirking.
"Ok never say that again!" I said as we both laughed.
Cassie and I headed downstairs were the party was taking place. You see I decided to have my party in that hotel I saw Gareth at that time I followed him. I mean I had too it's just ironic. I keep throwing up hints to him that I know about his cheating but he's not taking the bait. But it doesn't matter he will soon enough.
"Happy Birthday Sis." Cris said hugging me right.
"Thanks." I said smiling as I sipped my champagne.
"Happy Birthday Anne." Said joining us.
I thanked her and went to greet other guest.
Gareth was up at the DJ booth. I was surprised he wasn't somewhere texting his mistress but why would he be texting her when she's already here.
I was so busy looking at Gareth that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going that I ended up bumping into someone.
"I'm sorry." I said as the persons drink spilled on the floor.
"No it's okay." A male voice said as we both bent down to clean it up.
"Let me get you another drink." I said once we finished cleaning and I finally looked up.
"Hey, it's the birthday girl." He said smiling.
And I recognized him as Miguel Angel Moya he plays goalkeeper for Atlectio Madrid but I don't think we have ever met.
"Yes it's me but have we met before?" I asked him as we shook hands.
"No, but I'm Anne's brother she invited me I hope that's okay." He said.
"Wow it's a small world and no that's just fine the more the merry." I said as we stopped shaking hands.
"Well it was nice to meet you and have a happy rest of your birthday and by the way you look beautiful." He said before he walked to join the table where Cris and Anna were seated.
I couldn't even remember the last time Gareth called me beautiful. It was probably sometime before the baby I thought.
I looked back up at the dj booth and Gareth wasn't there in fact he was headed my way.
"Who were you talking to?" He asked in a jealous tone.
How ironic he's jealous of me talking to another guy but he's cheating on me.
"I was just meeting Miguel he's Anne's brother; Cris's girlfriend." I explained.
"Cris has a girlfriend?" He questioned.
"Yeah, you would of heard at the team dinner the week if you weren't so focused on your phone." I snapped and walked pass him.
"Where are you going?" He asked grabbing my arm.
"To the bathroom is that ok with you." I said pulling away.
"Is everything okay here?" Miguel asked glaring at Gareth.
"Everything's fine why don't you mind your own business." Gareth snapped at him and I could see Miguel start to turn red.
"I'm ok and it's fine." I said getting in between the two it took a second for Miguel to cool down and Gareth marched off somewhere.
"Your okay?" He asked me again.
"I'm ok." I said shaking my head as I held onto his hand for one split second.
I rushed to the elevator and went up to my room.
I went to the bathroom and to my surprise I find out that Mother Nature has visited me and I started to panic because I don't have any tampons but I remembered Cassie always keeps some in her purse.
I opened up the top drawer of the dresser and found Cassie's along with mines and some other of my friends purses that I was keeping locked up for them during the party.
I was searching through Cassie's purse and I couldn't find anything that way so I had to pour everything out onto the floor.
And among the things that laid on the floor one would change me forever.
