That day I confessed to Amira about lying to her, and why I lied every since then if I texted her she would respond vaguely or not answer my calls, and when I would stop by the cafe she wasn't there. I was starting to worry that I had ruined a good thing in my life. After I dropped Rose off with Chanel at the airport I decided to stop by the cafe on my way to work on the long shot that she would be there, but surprisingly no one was. The sign on the door just read closed until further notice, and my heart just began to skip a beat. As I walked back down the street to grab a taxi I pulled out my phone and dialed her number and no surprise she didn't answer. So, I left a voicemail. Amira, I've just visited the cafe and it says its closed to further notice, and I don't know if you never want to speak to me again that's your choice, but I just need to know that your okay. I sighed and then I hung up the phone. I went to training and tried to act like everything was okay, but the guys could tell and they invited me out, but I turned them down. After training I stopped by to see my therapist who's office just happened to be attached to the hospital and I had the thought to go and see if Amira was at work today, but I thought that might be a bit much. After my appointment I found myself walking back and forth outside the hospital entrance trying to decide if I should go in. "Hey, your the guy from the cafe." a voice said and I turned around to see a familiar face. "Yes, and your the barista guy." I said reaching out to shake his hand. "Do you happen to know if Amira is working today?" I asked him desperately. "Working, no she took off to be with our father; he has gotten worst." he sighed running his hands through his hair. "I didn't know you two were siblings, and I am sorry to hear about your father." I said giving him my sympathies. "I'm sure my sister would like to see you." he said. "I'm not too sure about that." I sighed putting my hands into my pockets. "She needs a friend right now, and I have seen you two talking and laughing at the cafe for the past the month now." he said reassuringly. "Yeah, but recently things have changed, I messed up." I sighed loudly. "Well, if it wasn't anything too bad and if you mean it apologize." he said shrugging his shoulders. "Your right." I said following him inside. I followed him to the elevator and out on the third floor. "I didn't get your name?" I asked him as we made our way down the hall. "I'm Eric Lopez and you're?" he added. "Gareth Bale." I said as we stopped in front of a room. From outside I could see Amira sitting beside her father's bedside. "I'll be right back." he said walking into the room. I could see him and Amira exchanging words, and then she started heading out towards me. "I'm glad you came." she said surprising me with a hug. "Yeah, of course I am sorry to hear about your father." I said as I could tell she had been crying. "Yeah, me too." she said as we walked along side each towards the cafeteria. "And I am also sorry that I lied to you." I sighed as we sat down at one of the tables. "Just don't let it happen again, Frank." she said and we laughed.
