Its been three months now since I have been living in Serville, and it was starting to feel like home. Amira's father got better, and they opened back up the cafe. I even started talking to my therapist about her, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to take a risk and ask her out yet. Things were going good with the team, and I had built up some sort of relationship with my teammates, which consisted of us hanging out occasionally, but I wasn't up for much else.
"Hey, earth to Gareth!" Amira said getting my attention. "Sorry, I was just thinking." I said as she took a seat across from me at the table. "Today's a slow day." she said looking around the cafe and sighing. "Yeah, but that means you can talk to me for longer." I said smirking as I took a sip of my coffee. "Yeah, it does." she said growing quiet all of a sudden. "You know I was thinking that you and your brother should come to my next game." I said speaking up. "That can be fun, but I don't know anything about football." she said shrugging her shoulders. "Don't worry I'll teach you." I said. "What are you doing tomorrow?" I added.
"Sorry, excuse me but Amira are you ready to go?" A guy asked approaching us. "Ugh, yeah I am." She said sounding uncertain. "I'll text you later." She said to me and she was gone just as quickly as the guy had approached. I kinda started to feel myself becoming jealous, but I had no right. I wandered who the guy was, as I gathered up my things to leave. But I knew one thing for sure he gave me bad vibes.
