Chapter 2

"Miss make a u-turn!It's the wrong way!"shouted the policeman.
"I am sorry but I can't."I replied naively.I turned to face the police officer that was sitting on my side,he strangely ressembled Nathan,the same grey eyes and messy hairs,but I could not certify it as everything was blurred.
"If you don't do it now,we will be doomed!"He warned.
As much as I tried to press the pedal and turn the wheel,I could not do it.It felt as if I had lost control over the car.When I looked forward,there was dark mist eveywhere.
"Miss certainly you will fail this driving test!"I heard the policeman's voice beside me.His voice also seemed similar to Nathan.Suddenly when I turned to face him,he was no longer there.The car's speed also seemed to have increase.Panic and fear filled me while I began to cry out of frustration.
When my eyes fell out of the window,I saw the figure of a boy who seemed to be staring at me,his deep blue eyes fixing me,penetrating my inner soul.But it was not creepy,it was comforting.
On the blink of an eye,the figure disappeared and I was left alone again dealing with an uncontrollable car.I began to cry out loud again till i heard my father's voice.
"Wake up Lisa!"shouted my father and my eyes flung open.

It was just a dream! I let out a sigh of relief as I swept the sweat that had accrued over my forehead.
"We have arrived.Get down and go greet your grandma.I will come with your lugguage."said my father.
I nodded as I clicked open the door and walked to hug my grandma.
"Oh darling!How you have gone slim!I was sure that mother of yours don't feed you well.Don't worry!Now you're at my place.I will make you healthy again!"Grandma said as she kissed my forehead.I just smiled heartily.
"Hello mom!"Dad said as he carried my bags inside.
"Hello son.Always in a hurry I see.Hopefully my granddaughter didn't go on neither you nor your wife."Grandma winked at me.
Dad rolled his eyes as I chuckled lowly.
"I'll come to pick you once we're back!"Dad said to me and I just nodded.Then he moved back to his car and drove away without even kissing my forehead or waving goodbye like typical fathers would do.I guessed I should be proud that my father was different from others but still,it was not reassuring my heart.
"Come in quick sweatheart.I am sure you have got a lot to tell me."Grandma patted my shoulder and gently pushed me in.
"Ah gran what would I do without you.I would have gone crazy if you were not here!"I exclaimed.
"Oh shut up!You have got my genes in your blood and we,Trans are strong."We laughed."Now go and change while I serve dinner."
"Okay ma'am!"I said in a mechanical voice just like a soldier before rushing upstairs to my room.Once it had belonged to my grandpa but when I was eight he passed away,so grandma converted his room into mine.My grandpa was as jovial as my grandma.He was always there for me and I used to be his 'little princess'.When he died,I actually grieved for 1 month.I had locked myself into my room and cried bitterly at nights .I had also had problem with my ex school because I used to lock myself in the toilets and cry.But fortunately,the teachers had been comprehensive and they handled me with love and lots of care.From then,I had also been one of their favourite student.I was their little protegee.I missed them so much.
"Lisa hurry or your meal will turn cold sweatheart!"Grandma's voice pulled me from my thoughts.
"Coming gran."
I quickly change my clothes and rush the stairs down.
"Oh My God!" I exclaimed at the sight."Beef Lasagna!!!Gran I love you so much!"I ran to kiss her.
"Hahaha I knew you would say that when you would see your favourite meal!"Grandma kissed my forehead.
"And especially when it is prepared by you gran.I mean you are the best cook that i know."
"Better than your mother?"
"Well technically she cooks rarely so yeah i can say you're better than her."
"Oh my darling.Go sit and enjoy your meal!"
I quickly sat down and slice a part onto my plate.
"Eh eh don't forget the prayers!"Grandma scolded me sweetly as I was about to take a bite.
"Oops sorry."I held my earsinapology.
Once done with our meal, my grandma and me lied down on the sofa to watch cartoons.Yeah,she loved cartoons,especially Tom and Jerry,Pink Panther,Looney Tunes Show and Scooby-doo.While enjoying her shows,we discussed about my life;my studies;my hobbies and other things.It had been 1 whole year since I met my grandma so we talked till midnight.The conversation got awkward when grandma talked about "boys".She asked me if I had a boyfriend and when I replied no,she started narrating her and grandpa's love story;how he saw her in a marriage ceremony and started to follow her everywhere;then she finally fell in love with him and they got married.
That night,we both slept on the couches and sincerely,it was not the most comfortable place as in the following morning,my whole body screamed pain.But it was the first time since 1 year that I slept peacefully without my mind drifting to the severity of my parents.
