"I am sorry gran.I did not know that he would steal my phone."
"Seriously Lisa.Who is the thief that prevents before stealing?"
I had no answer to this one.
"Well I will discuss this with your dad and ask him to bring you a new phone when he returns."
"Gran please try to pacify him and make him understand that it was not my fault."
Grandma patted my head before leaving my room.
I could not believe that I had been duped.When I thought that I was feeling bad for him.
"Argg!Screw him!"I shouted before throwing myself on my bed.
That night I kept cursing him till I fell asleep.
The next morning I was more than determined to find him.So I set out and traced the same path again but there was no sign of him.I wanted to explore more places,but I was afraid of getting lost or maybe meet with delinquents,so I got back home defeated.
I consumed some food before making up my mind of finding him out no matter what.Even if I had to face drug peddlers or murderers,I would not back-pedalled until I had got my phone back.
I kissed grandma on her forehead,wrapped myself into some warm clothes and picked up a bottle of water before stepping out to find that bastard.I felt somehow like those legendary heros,like Hercules,attributed a mission impossible but this time I would make it possible.
It was around five thirty p.m when I had begun the search and once I had reached the limits of the safety zone,I took a deep breath before crossing the safety line.The atmosphere surrounding the abandonned buildings and the huge trees was strangely calm,infact too calm!There was no single soul in sight.I continued walking,biting my lips as fear started to engulf my heart.The sun was setting and it would be dark here in any seconds.I wanted to run back home but then my obstinate nature pushed me further.
Through the dark,I persevered courageously and I was stunned at my own bravery.
Suddenly a group of shadows came in view.They were running to my way and screaming loudly.Then I saw bags in their hands and realisation dawned upon me.They were thieves.Should I run back,keep on walking straight or hide behind the bushes?
'No,there was no time for all of this.Keep still,Lisa.Keep still!' My mind suggested to me.And I would have obeyed it if I had not noticed the blue-eyed boys that had steal my phone among them when he brushed by my side.Our eyes locked for some seconds before his friend's voice distracted his attention.
"What the hell!Run Luke!"
"No wait!"I screamed but he had already begun running and at that time,I found myself doing the most stupid thing ever.I clutched my bottle firmly and ran after him as fast as possible.I remembered those annual running competition I used to take part in at school.I had only won the first prize one time and reached second on the others,but this time,my legs did not betray me as I managed to join them sooner than expected.Though we kept running in an unfamilliar direction,I was satisfied that I had my eyes on him and he would not had been able to escape me.Then abruptly they all stopped.There were three guys,including Luke and three girls in all and they were all dressed in a delinquent way.
When my eyes fell further,I got to know the reason why they had stopped running;there was a jeep that had halted in front of them and when we all looked back,there were four tall men in suits and equipped with guns running our way.Luke and his friends were trapped and sadly,I was also.
