Chapter 19

All I was able to think about when I was walking back home was Luke saying I could not have that baby.Probably he was right.We were too young and we were not even officially together.My parents did not even know about him and of course the band that came with him.Worse,I myself I did not know everything about him,not even his surname,the one I was supposed to give my would be but would not be child.
I started to wonder if our relationship itself was a good thing.I remembered him saying that I came from a high class family and that he stole for a living.Every girl dreams of a well off dashing tall man in suit as partner and I had wished the same,before coming here,before meeting Luke.I realised that my life had changed much since I met him.Before,my only focus were the highest grades at school;now I was torn between choosing to put a child on this world or not to.

"So this is that friend of yours?"I heard mother's high pitched voice as soon as I pushed open the door.
"What's wrong with you?"I asked half conscious.My mother and my father was standing in front of the door looking highly angry.
"Thieves?Delinquents?You disgust me Lisa!"Mother continued.My eyes widened and the beating of my heart stared accelerating.They got to know about everything?
"Mom!"That was all that could get out of my panicked body.But how did they know?
"Don't dare call me your mom!I regret having a child like you.I never thought you would turn out like this!"
"We are ashamed to have a daughter like you,Lisa!"My father said and I was totally broken inside."What have we not given you?You had everything that a child could have!Laptop,mobile phone and what else!You are an ungrateful bitch!"
That was it!I bursted out in tears.My heart was exploding in my chest.My father had called me a bitch.
"Yes!It's true!I got everything!Everything that you judged perfect for me to have;Laptop,phone!But what about love?What about the embrace of parents?What about the loving words that usually come from the mouth of parents?What about the affectionate kiss of parents?You have always treated me like a machine!A machine you created and now it has to abide by each and every rules you apply.Do this!Do that!Don't behave like this!Walk properly!Go there!Eat this!I am tired!I am tired of living this life that worse than hell!!"
I felt somehow relieved after saying everything,everything that was burning inside of me for 17 years!I finally let them out all!
My heart was reproaching me because they were still my parents!But I was not going to listen to it.Enough was enough!
My parents looked more angry than they were before.
"Elizabeth,you better run to your room now!Don't force me to hand you over also to the police !"My Father shouted.
"Also?Who did you hand over to the police dad?"I was stunned.
"Those delinquents of course!Your father called the police and informed them about those bastards!The police must be on their way to that dilapilated infected building."My mother looked disgusted for real!
"How could you?I must inform them!"I shouted before running away.I heard them calling me back,shouting and cursing my name.I also heard the threats.The threats that I would no longer be their daughter if I don't come back home immediately.But it did not matter to me.Their lives were in danger.I needed to tell them to run away as fast as possible!
I run as quick as I could to the territory and it hit me that the stalker was probably my father's man.

"You gotta go from here!"I screamed as soon as I made my way inside the building.But the situation was already tensed at the highest there!Diego and his men were pointing guns at Luke and the others,except Anna!'She was standing at the side of Diego.
"Oh cara mia!You came at the right moment!I was just showing your friends how I will kill each of them!"Diego diverted the gun to me and gestured me to move towards the others.
I grabbed Luke's arms tightly.
"So who should I start with?"Diego used the gun to scratch his head.
"Why would you kill us?We worked for you!We've been loyal to you.We've risked our lives for your stupid missions!"I dared to ask and he rapidly pointed the gun at my head.Luke pushed me behind him protectively.
"Cara mia!Stop fooling me!You take away my money and now you pretend to be loyal!"
I frowned.What was he talking about?When did we take his money?
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Don't tell me your fellow friends did not tell you?Anna darling,From where does she land?"Diego leaned his hand to Anna and the latter took it and got into his embrace.
"Luke?"She said."Don't tell me you did not inform her?"She looked surprised.
"What?"I was surprised too."What have you not told me Luke?"
Luke was not facing me.His eyes were fixed on Diego.
"Luke!!!"I shouted but he remained quiet.
"Oh let me tell you cara mia!"Diego caught my attention."Your fellow friends stole my five hundreds millions dollars,killed two of my men and now they told me they already used the money!"Diego looked irritated and very furious."Now tell me should I not kill you all?"
I was shocked.None of them told me about this!To be honest,I would totally be furious if I was Diego and knowing how crazy he was,this was ultimately expected.But how could they d that?Didn't they think of the consequences?I wondered if they never realized how crazy Diego look and how he lusted for wealth.
"Oh gentle baby!You are scaring that poor soul!"Anna laughed out mockingly.
"And why are you not with us?"I asked Anna.She was happily giggling at Diego's side.She had to have contributed to that theft also.
"That bitch betrayed us!"Nick said furiously.He looked like he was ready to pounce on her and tear her apart.
"I want to be on the winning side!And you guys,you have never given me anything!I was also there when we stole those things but I was never talked about like Lisa!Everyone's attention was only on her.Ever she joined our group,she became the center of attention.And you Luke?I loved you.I have been loving you ever since I first met you in that party.But you never saw my love.But once Lisa points out,she did not even show love for you,but you ended up falling for her!What does she have that I don't,huh?"Anna seemed hurt.
"She's not a jealous prick like you!She does not crave attention like you!And she have self respect unlike you!She knows how to appreciate every moment of her life whether she's talked about or not!She knows that she should not bitch around her feelings for a boy because she wants him.She is the complete opposite of you Anna!She's perfect!Daniel spoke out and I was left startled.I thought he was the mysterious of all.Sometimes I even thought he hated me but now I knew I was wrong.I felt good for once.I was looking at him with eyes filled of compassion and Luke did not seem to agree to that.He looked at Daniel in asgard.He was such a d*ck!He hid things from me and now he dared acting up all protective about me!
"Oh cut the crap and let finish this all!"Diego exclaimed before shooting dead Anna!
We were left i shocked.I even gasped as I watch Anna's body slowly fall on the ground,his eyes on Luke!
"Let's see who's next!Why don't we play a game?Leo!"He gestured at one of his man."Close your eyes and point at someone!"He ordered and his man obeyed.
He closed his eyes,moved his gun from left to right before stopping on Jessie.We were all shocked,but Jessie was in bigger shock as she watched Diego laughing cruelly.Diego did not even hesitated before shooting her dead.
My heart was beating so fast!And my tears;They were threatening to come out.
"I am enjoying this so much!"That cruel monster exclaimed.
He gestured at one of his other men and he did the same as the man before.However,this time he pointed to noone.His gun was fixed at the sofa.
"Pathetic!"Diego said before shooting the sofa and then the man,his man!"If you don't point at someone,you die!"He shouted.
The other man pointed at Kara and when he shot her dead,I began trembling.Sooner or later,we were all bound to the same fate.We were all going to be shot dead by Diego.
Luke's nails were burried deep in the flesh of my arm.
The next man pointed at Luke.My heart literally skipped a beat.I did not want to lose him.He could not shoot him but I was wrong.He pointed the gun at his head.I closed my eyes.I did not want to see that though my ears were going to hear that gunshot,evethough I would cover them.I waited but what I ended up hearing was the sirene of police cars.My eyes fluttered open as I witnessed Luke alive.
Diego and his men began panicking.Diego began shooting in all directions.
Luke pushed me down and leaned over me.He held my hand and dragged me with him running!I did not know where he was taking me.I was just running away with him.I was half conscious.As Luke dragged me,I witnessed Nick getting shot.I watched him fall helplessly on the ground.My tears were falling so much.All I wanted was to fall deeply in sleep and then when I would wake up after two to three days,someone would tell me it was all just bad dream.Nobody was shot.Everyone was safe.If possible,that person could also tell me that I had never met Luke,Kara,Daniel,Nick,Jessie,Anna and Diego.Noone named Luke had stolen my phone.I had not gone to find him.I had never been forced to work for Diego.I had never fallen for Luke.I had never stolen all these things.I had never turned out pregnant with Luke's child.I needed someone to tell me it was all a nightmare,a figment of my imagination!
