Slowly Moving

Just to let you know, I have looked at every comment on this book :). Everyone means so much to me. They make me laugh and smile. Don't be afraid to leave a message, I love reading them!

"I made a new friend!" Avi exclaims as he enters Kirstie's house, joining the rest of the group in the loft. "I invited him over. He is on his way, is that okay?" Kirstie nods at him.

"We love new people!" Kirstie says.

Mitch glances at Scott. He really loved new people. Scott catches his glance, smiling and pecking his cheek. He pulls him closer and Mitch throws his arm over his chest, wrapping him into a tight hug.

Mitch had finally gotten his last D up and he was more than happy to be back with his friends.

"What's their name?" Kirstie asks.

"Alexander Kirk. He is new." Scott and Mitch freeze.

"No!" Mitch yells, pulling himself out of Scott's grip and standing up. He turns and looks at Scott. "No, no, no!"

"I agree with him, Avi. No!"

"What's wrong with him?" Mitch looks to Scott to explain, but Scott didn't want too. Mitch nudges his shoulder to try to get him to speak.

"Mitch is my boyfriend everyone!" Mitch's jaw drops, shocked that he told everyone that instead of the important thing. 

"Wait, for real? It's about time." Kevin says.

"No, superman." Mitch says. The looks of everyone in the room was very confused. Mitch grabs his notebook in anger.

Alex is Scott's ex. Scott told Alex that I was his boyfriend to try to get him not to flirt or anything. So now I have to pretend to be his boyfriend when he is here.

Mitch holds up the note straight over his head. Everyone looks at it, taking in the words.

"You guys are screwed." Kirstie says. Everyone laughs except Scott and Mitch. Mitch angrily sets his notebook down, finding a new seat in between Avi and Kevin.

A knock comes from the door. Avi gets up and opens it. Scott takes this chance to run over and sit by Mitch. He throws his arm around him. Mitch tries to move it, but stops when Alex sees them.

"Oh. Scott is here." Alex says. Scott awkwardly looks around, not wanting to make eye contact with him.

"This won't be awkward! I won't let it. Alex come sit with me or whatever." Avi says and Alex nods.

Scott pulls Mitch closer, feeling the tension of Mitch pulling the opposite way but trying to not make it obvious.

Mitch point at himself and then the bathroom.

"You're going to the bathroom?" He nods, getting up and storming into the other room.

Scott gets up but doesn't follow, just goes over and sits with Kirstie. He wraps his arms around her.

"I hate highschool." He says. She chuckles, getting more comfortable in his grip. "So much drama and shit."

"Is he mad at you?" She asks while pointing at the bathroom.
