"When I close my eyes
All I see
Is me right there
In his front seat
His headlights pouring down my street."The music blasted from my headphones to my ear as I walked home. I decided to take a walk. I'm sick of hearing my parents shout at me for little things. The shouted at me just because I asked them if I could get a new guitar. I looked up and there was Olivia, I guess one of the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I'm a girl too, but there's nothing wrong being gay, right? My parents are really strict on sexuality and shit, which bothers me A LOT. I have a plan of doing some music stuff when I graduate from high school. But my dad wants me to continue his business. Olivia lives just across the street from my house. She is about to go into a car with her friends, what I'm guessing to a party. I walked inside the house and my parents saw me but I just walked upstairs to my room. I took my headphones off and put the Ed Sheeran X album record CD to the record player and just blast it. Ed Sheeran songs has helped me through a lot of things. Cimorelli, too. Their new album is just lit. I laid down on my bed and just stared at the ceiling.
I heard a knock on the door and I lowered down the volume on the player. "Who is it?!" I yelled. "Lauren, it's me, Tristan." He said. Tristan, my older brother is the only family member I trust. "Come in." I said. He came in and closed the door before sitting down at the edge of my bed beside me. "Lauren, I'm sorry about earlier." He said. "I know mom and dad could be an ass sometimes. I've been there." He said and I sighed. "It's just that I want to peruse on music, not doing business on things." I said. "I know. I had something in mind as well when I was younger, but I just couldn't fight it anymore." He said. "What did you want to do?" I asked. "I wanted to go to NYU and do football and try to be a professional AFL player. But, as you know, dad wants his kids just like him." He said. "No wonder why you're so in shape." I said and he laughed. "Since I'm here, do you want to talk about anything?" He asked. "Don't worry, I won't tell mom or dad." He said again. I sigh and just silenced for a second. "I'm dealing with depression." I said. "Lauren, why didn't you tell me earlier?" He asked. "Because, I don't want you to worry." I said. "Lauren..." He said and sighed. "You know that if you tell me something like this, I'll help you." He said. "I know, I was just scared." I said. "You have nothing to fear from me." He said. "I also... Um... I like a girl." I said. "Who is it?" He asked. "The girl who lives across the street." I said. "Olivia Bradley?" He asked. "Yeah. Her." I said. "I have nothing against that." He said. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah. Come on. Olivia is a hot girl. Anyone could fall for her." He said and I smiled. "Well, thanks T." I said. "No problem." He said and stood up. "If you need anything from me, I'm here for you." He said. I smiled and he left. I turned up the volume again and I just stare at the ceiling. Don't by Ed Sheeran was playing.
"On my hotel door
I don't even know if she knows what for
She was crying on my shoulder
I already told ya
Trust and respect is what we do this for
I never intended to be next
But you didn't have to take him to bed that's all
And I never saw him as a threat
Until you disappeared with him to have sex of course."That whole verse is just my life. Olivia and I used to be close, but something happened between us. I don't know what.

I woke up by the sun shining onto my face. It's Saturday. I took my phone from the bedside table and called my best friend.B - Bailey Anderson.
L - Hey, Bailey.
B - Lauren Winston. What's up?
L - Do you have any plans today?
B - No, why?
L - I'm wondering if you want to go to the movies with me.
B - Sure. Do you want me to pick you up?
L - Nah. It's fine.
B - Okay.
L - I'll go to your house in like few hours.
B - Okay.
L - Alright. Bye Bailey.
B - Bye.
I hung up and got out of bed. Darn, I shouldn't be getting out of bed this early on a Saturday... But whatever. I took a shower and everything, and went downstairs. My parents and siblings were there. I have three other siblings. I'm the youngest. Which is great. Not. Tristan is my oldest brother. He's 24. Tristan is my step brother, I think that's why he's different from the others. Then Kyle and Kiera, they're twins. They are 20. And here I am. Being the youngest. I'm 18. My parents, Michael and Tracy.
"Hey, Lauren." My dad said. "Hey." That's all I said before getting a protein bar from the fridge. I sat down on the dining table and just stare into the endless abyss. I'm wondering what Olivia is doing right now. Probably things that I will never do. I have never forgotten the thing Olivia and I used to do. Me and her used to go to the park together back when we were in 6th grade. We aren't friends anymore after 8th grade. Now we're seniors, things are different. Probably after graduation, things will be even different. I got up and is put the protein bar packet to the bin. "Hey, dad," I said and dad turned to look at me. "Can I borrow the car?" I asked. "What for?" he asked. "I'm going to the movies with Bailey." I said. "No." he said. "Dad, I'm 18." I said. "I know, but no." he said. "Here, you can take my car." Tristan said and threw me his keys and I caught it. "You sure?" I asked. "Yeah. I'll just take the bus." he said. "Alright. Thanks, T." I said. "No problem. Drive safely!" He said as I got out of the house.
