Yells...

I rolled around uncomfortably in my new bed with Chiller next to me. I patted him on his nose and he nuzzled it into my sweaty palm. The mission I had received... it was too big a responsibility for me. I gave up on trying to catch a few z's and went onto my balcony and looked up at the starry, night sky. I always looked up into the sky if I had trouble when I was younger for its silent yet restful presence made me relax. I lost myself in its beautiful aura. It was so peaceful, so silent, so amazing. I forgot all about my worries while looking at it.

9 minutes later (I think), a yell broke it. Then another. And another. My door blasted open, Chiller tensed up and I immediately clenched my fists. I thought it was an enemy but it turned out to be a very worried-looking Gladius. I unclenched my fists and Chiller lay back down on his belly. With no words he pulled me out of my room and to the bonding fields. By that time, a much bigger crowd of Bonders were already standing there, murmuring quietly, staring at the horizon where am immense fire had popped up.

"His reign has begun."Gladius announced dismally,"Many innocent lives shall be lost but they shall be lost in vain! We have one of the Elementals and we shall soon have the rest!" And with those words, he dismissed the other Bonders and departed with me to my room.

"This is where the real mission begins. You were brought here early but the Air Pegasus and the Earth Chimera shall not arrive as quickly as your Ice Wyvern. I know this might already too much for you but you must succeed. Us Bonders are placing almost all of our hope on you and the other Elementals. Don't fail us. I'm sorry about putting such a great weight on you but it has to be done. There will be more states like Alaska that shall fall." he whispered quietly.

"Wait that was Alaska?! My parents and siblings are there! I have to help them!" I shouted.

"I'm sorry Bobby. It's too late for them now." Gladius answered softly.

"?!#@!!!" I cursed, and with that, I stuffed my head into the pillow and started sobbing. Chiller started snuggling his head into my shirt but I pushed it away.

"I'm sorry Bobby but this is what Comdor intends to do, he wants you to feel the pain. All of us have felt it before, but we must turn it into power." he explained softly, leaving the room," We must defeat him, no matter what, if we don't, your relation's death was for nothing."

That was the last words I heard that night. I eventually slept after I was done sobbing for I knew life wouldn't be the same without my family.Other than my occasional sobs and Chiller's occasional whines, my room was as silent as the night sky after that.
