The ringing sound of a gong rang through out the LightHaven which immediately shook me to consciousness. Gladius stormed into my room and yelled for me to 'Move my lazy buttocks". Unfortunately for him, he woke Chiller up too, which led to Gladius being shunned out of the room by Chiller's glorious yet powerful wings. I quickly changed into the LightHaven provided uniform and grabbed a small satchel which my dad had crafted for me. I carried it around the place no matter what. It held my few homemade possessions that I had salvaged before I left home, such as the dagger which was also crafted by my father, the mirror I 'borrowed' from my mother and a drawing which drawn by my sister and my brother. My eyes teared up as I thought of their cheerful faces.

I trudged down the carpeted stairs and was greeted with an unusual landscape when I got to the bottom. Instead of the usual perfectly-carpeted floor it always had, it was made of pure ice. I took a careful step on the ice just in case I slipped, surprisingly, the ice parted, revealing a small circle with the familiar LightHaven carpet design underneath. I gave a sigh of relief and wonder as I continued towards the Great Hall's double doors. Chiller stomped on the ice all around me, staring in amazement at the vanishing ice. He looked up towards me with astonished eyes. I chuckled and stroked his spine. As I groped the iron door handles, Chiller glided towards me. He gave a dignified whine and pushed the door open.

The Great Hall erupted in cheers and my ears started ringing immediately. Gladius's Chimaera gave a loud roar and many others roared in unison. I sat myself down between a blonde girl and a greasy haired boy with a hooked nose. They stared at Chiller in awe and started firing questions at me. I could hear them but with the noise level in the Hall, I was sure that I could get away with acting like I couldn't. I looked around the place and once again, admired everything in there. From the whisky drenched men, gossiping ladies, playful creatures, wonderful decorations and the smashing food. As I sat there trying to take every single image of the atmosphere, I noticed Diana and Gladius having a heated argument. I didn't know how long I stared at them but Gladius suddenly noticed me and beckoned towards me. I picked up my still-full platter and went over to their table.

"Bobby! Just the person I wanted to see! Meet your new Sorcery teacher, Professor Lockhart! She'll also be following us upon our journey with her water horse ("Hippocamp, kid" Diana whispered". She's also my beloved and immature sister..." he added quietly.

"What!?" I said with a fake tone of surprise,"Wow! Nice to meet you Professor! Gladius, you never told me you had a sister!"

Diana nodded and said with a grin plastered onto her shining face,"You can call me Diana. And you Gladius, should talk about your family more."

Gladius muttered a quick 'excuse me' and speed-walked away valiantly. She gave me a hearty wink and strode off to follow Gladius through the various hallways.

I stretched my of my stiff position body off the chair after Gladius's everlasting speech about his inheritance over the LightHaven after Edna giving it to him. "And now," he announced,"For the departing ceremony for Professor Lockhart, Bobby, their creatures, and I!" There was a roar of celebration and an army of goblins came out, all carrying the LightHaven symbol over it.

Next, a band of elves came in and started playing instruments that seemed way too big them. I stared in awe of the procession when suddenly, several Bonders rushed out towards me and my fellow accomplices and lifted us up. Chiller gave an uneasy growl as they hoisted me up onto their hands. I sent him a mental assuring feeling through our bond and looked on. Everything was so beautiful and happy. We were exiting the LightHaven when Chiller suddenly gave a loud screech and flew towards me. He picked me up towards the scruff of my neck and flew towards Diana.

When I looked back I saw an arrow embedded into an old man's scalp. Then I realized, that it was Felix, the man who had led me here in the first place. Colin was standing at the entrance of the LightHaven smirking with his goons at the panic from everyone else. They seemed perfectly unharmed as if they knew that that was already going to happen. Men were rushing towards the betrayer marksman on the top of the towers, wielding their weapons wildly and shoving anyone who blocked out the way. Gladius and I let out a roar of anger simultaneously and attempted to rush into the crowd but both our creatures (Wyvern and Griffin) pulled us back and flew to the cloudless skies.

After a half hour, I gave up on thinking of a plan to somehow jump of Chiller and to revive Felix. I looked down to see the sights of the beautiful landscape of wherever we were but I saw nothing like that. Instead I saw a burnt down village with heads hanging on stakes and the triumphant banner of a skull with a red aura of fire around it, including a small
golden-red Phoenix in the skull. It was stuck up on a lonely tree in a green pasture when suddenly, a spear reached down to it and hooked it up. I took a quick glance and saw Diana tearing it apart, muttering swear words under her breath clearly. As I looked back at the tree, I noticed it kinda represented the remaining good Bonders left. We were the last ones left. The only hope for all of humanity. The last and only wall, of defense left to face Comdor...
