"He's outside waiting." Matt said to me. I nodded and began walking to the door.

"Nova."

I heard, Matt had sent me a thought. I turned around in confusion. Matt walked towards me, closer, closer, closer. He stopped when we were inches away from each other. I looked into his deep, dark, brown eyes, and he moved a little closer. I then snapped out of the seeming trance I was in and pulled away.

"We will see you later." I said to Matt and walked out the door. I walked over to Jack, and he smirked. "What took you so long?" I decided not to tell Jack about my "encounter" with Matt.

"I'm a girl, what do you expect?"

I said jokingly. He snickered and off we went. As we walked through the small town, I noticed all the happy parents with their children. I didn't see any anger, hate, or even despair. The whole town was just happy. "Where am I again?" I asked Jack as we walked. "A small town called Chlora. It was originally created out of a small group of refugees, and it grew into... this." I nodded and asked, "Why is there no fighting, no injustice, nothing?" Jack stopped and turned to face me. "We have very few rules, but we still have rules. If one steals, kills, harms, anything like that, they will be exiled from these walls." Jack said. I nodded and we continued walking.

"Shouldn't I be exiled then?" I asked. "Why?" he asked. "I killed Meg, isn't that considered treason?" I asked Jack. He looked at me and shook his head. "That is an exception. You were defending yourself, you are not at fault." He said to me. Jack then stopped in front of a small boutique called "April's Custom Clothing." I stopped and stared at the sign for what seemed like forever. "That's your mom's old shop." Jack said to me. I nodded and said quietly.

"I feel like I'm just waiting for my mom to come through the doors and greet me, but she's not there, is she?" I asked. I knew my mom wasn't there, but it was worth a shot. I don't even know what is or is not real anymore. Jack shook his head slowly. "No, she's not there." Jack said softly. A tear rolled down my face, but before Jack could comfort me, I wiped away my tear, smiled, and said, "let's go shopping."

We came back around 3 hours later with a full wardrobe. "Wow." Matt mumbled as we walked inside carrying at least 20 bags. Jack fell onto the floor in defeat. "I've never... Been... so tired." He panted. Matt and I laughed, I put down the bags I was carrying and helped Jack stand. "Thanks." He said. I smiled. "You guys hungry?" Matt asked. I nodded, and so did Jack. "You guys are so lucky I'm a good cook." He snickered and walked into the kitchen. Jack and I sat down as Matt served us spaghetti and meatballs. "Thanks." I said to Matt, he nodded and we all ate.

After supper, Matt pulled me aside and said, "I have something to tell you." I nodded and followed him up to his room. "Where's Jack?" I asked. "He's out getting groceries. It's only us." He said, moving closer to me. Just like that, I fell back into his trance, he moved closer and all I could do was stare into his deep, brown eyes. His lips brushed against mine, and I pulled back. "What did you want to tell me?" I asked and turned away, blushing like crazy. "Oh, yeah, that." He said. I couldn't see him, but I could tell that Matt was blushing too. I turned back and his face went dark. "Jack lied to you Nova." I looked at Matt like he was crazy. "He lured Meg here, he locked me outside, and he pretended to be passed out. I couldn't get in, all the doors were locked, along with the windows. I'm sorry, I tried getting in. When I finally broke in, Jack was there with you, pretending everything was alright." He said to me. I sat on the bed in shock, I mean, would you believe it? "This can't be true..." I said in shock. Matt nodded his head sadly. "I'm as upset as you are, but it's true." I looked away, tears filled my eyes. A thousand thoughts raced my mind, was the kiss a lie? Did he really ever care about me? I heard the door open and I was instantly filled with anger. I ran down the stairs and...
