It wasn't every day that it was beautiful like this on the homestead. So you were very grateful when you were able to go out on a walk around the property. You smiled and hummed to yourself before you sat down while clutching onto your eight and a half month pregnant belly. You sat back and leaned against the tree before you closed your eyes appreciating the warmth from the sun's rays. Your mind flashing back to when you found out that you were pregnant. Boy, wasn't he happy to find out to be a father. He would sit there with you discussing for hours about what your child might look like. You cursed under your breath while you felt a tear slip down your cheek. When you found out of his treason to the assassins it broke your heart knowing that your unborn baby wouldn't have a father in their life. You still remembered it that you sat there with all of the other assassins while begging Shay not to jump. You felt so helpless trying to convince him that you all could work things out. After that, you believed him to be dead, but soon even that was a lie. When many of your close friends showed up dead all you could do was believed that it was him. But how could it be the same man that you loved not that many months ago? You knew that it was only a matter of time before he would catch up to you and end you as well. But you wanted to make sure that your child would make it out unharmed.

In the cold of winter, you sat there smiling and laughing with Adewale while he admired his young, beautiful, and healthy granddaughter. You didn't want to leave your child back on the homestead with the others so you decided that it would be a good idea to bring little Marina with you on a little trip. It was very obvious that she had him wrapped around her little finger. He would sit there for hours talking to her, telling her stories of his past experiences. She would just sit there and laugh and giggle before she would snuggle into him searching for his soothing heartbeat. You looked at your father before extending your arms out before he sighed knowing it was wise for you all to get back to the ship and ensure she was warm. He placed the small child back into your embrace before he kissed her forehead. He then did the say to you before saying, "Take care of my grandbaby." You chuckled before smiling,"Of course I'll protect her with my life." You said before turning away and walking towards the ship. You held her close to you before you heard grunting, cursing, and yelling. "[Your Name]! RUN!" You turned around to see Ade fighting with someone who you wished didn't make eye contact with. "Oh God, no...." You whispered to yourself before you started to dash back to the ship. Marina's cries didn't help when you noticed that he was following you. Your lungs tighten more and more with every step that brought you closer to the ship. "ACHILLES!! HELP!!!" You yelled while having Shay close behind you. When Achilles came out from the ship and into your sight he jumped down and managed to tackle Shay to the ground. You thought you were home free but you felt that same horrid sound of a gunshot. You cursed under your breath when Shay managed to push Achilles off of him and then appeared Haythem. Your eyes widen in fear when you noticed how he was eyeing the small child that sat in your embrace. You pulled her closer to your chest,"Leave us be, we will not do anything to harm you." You managed to say while Shay stared you down. He stayed silent before you heard another gunshot and watched Achilles' blood splatter onto the once pallor ground. Marina's cries growing louder with each waking second. You ran to Achilles' side trying to help him up but you heard Haythem clear his throat. "Give us the child. wouldn't want to bring in another person into your silly principles." You scoffed before spitting at his shoes."Marina is my daughter. She is born to a Templar and an Assassin! She stays with me. If you want me you're going to have to kill me first." You hissed at him."Such a stubborn woman." He then pointed the gun towards the small child before tilting his head to the side challenging you to do something rash. You gnawed on your bottom lips before looking to Achilles, he grunted, winced and then mumbled,"Give them the child, it would be better that's she is alive rather than dead." You soon felt hot tears roll down your cheeks. You leaned down and kissed your child on her forehead before she finally stopped crying, she snuggled into you, her bright [Your Eye Color] eyes staring at you. With a heavy heart, you looked to Shay for the first time in a long time and you got up and placed the smiling child in his arms. "Marina, this is your father, he is going to take care of you, alright." It seemed like you saw her nod her little head before you looked to her father. You placed a hand on his face not knowing if you wanted to slap him or bring him in for a kiss.

So, you did neither.

"Take care of her, I beg of you, Shay." You said before he and your daughter were pulled away from you while the three of them disappeared in the distance. You ran over to Achilles helping him up and supporting both your's and his weight while you went back to the ship.

A few years later.

You were out on a mission trying to find out some information about a certain target of yours. You sat on top of the building listening in to the conversation of the little girl and your target. You breathe out knowing that you had to do this. It's been nine long years since you last saw him. You felt like it would be best that your daughter would be back with you. When you heard that things died down a bit you entered the home through an open window and sneaked down the hallway and you opened Marina's room and you smiled at the nine-year-old before you felt someone pull you out of the room and pin you to the wall. You grabbed the nearest thing to you and made sure that it collided with their head before you slipped past them and headed downstairs. You hid and you felt your heart stop when you looked at Shay coming down the stairs. You shook away the tears that formed in your eyes before you grabbed one of your throwing knives and you threw it at him of course. But he caught it before it could do any real damage. His eyes followed in the same direction that the knife came from until he finally saw you. Cursing under your breath, you stood up while his eyes still followed you while you walked over to his living room. You grabbed a chair and turned it backward so the front could support your weight. You placed your arms on the top of the chair before you finally sat down on it and you removed your hood before smiling at him.

"Cormac."

"[Your Last Name]."

He said before throwing the knife that had been in his hand on the ground. Your eyes found their way upwards when you heard soft footsteps from what you thought was Marina's room. You sighed before tilting your head to the side. "Does she know what you are?" You asked simply,"Does she know what you stand for?"You felt your blood start to boil,"Does she know you left her mother fucking pregnant so you could fulfil your own fantasies?!" You hissed at him before hopping out of the chair to face him. You raised your hand to strike him but he grabbed it before you opened your mouth again," Does she know of your treason against the Brotherhood-?!" He cut you off, "She does not know, yet. I wished to tell her of what your treasured brotherhood did in the first place. If you're such saints why sneak around in the night and try to steal a child?

He asked before leaning down so the two of you were at eye level,"WE do what we think is right instead of snaking our way into political offices and poisoning countries! Unhand me! I wish to speak to MY flesh and blood."

You growled at him before you managed to push him away from you before you dashed up the stairs into Marina's room. While he chased after you, he grabbed that same knife that was embedded in the ground. When you entered the room it surprised you that the little girl even knew who you were. You walked over to her before picking her up and placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Yes, she was a bit old for you to pick her up like she was a toddler but you haven't seen your daughter in nine years. Your breath hitched when you saw Shay entered the room ready to throw the knife at you,"My love, can you look at daddy for me?" You asked and she obeyed, she turned her head towards her father and smiled at him while he placed the knife behind his back. He smiled at his daughter and you made sure that she was still looking at him while you placed her back in her bed. You placed another soft kiss on her forehead. "Do you know how much I love you, my sweet daughter?" You asked and she shrugged. You smiled at her before saying, "with all my heart." You then tickled her and she giggled. "You'll be a good girl for daddy, right?" You asked while your eyes drew up and down a fuming Shay. She smiled at him and then nodded her head. "That's very good, Mar." You smiled at her weakly before she got out of her cover and hugged you she then got up and skipped over to her father and brought him over to you. "Can mummy stay over for tonight?" You shook your head in protest but Shay looked at you and then his daughter knowing how much she'd love to see her parents under one roof. "I'll come see you in the morning if your father allows it." He nodded before she smiled, she then went back over to her bed and climbed into it while you backed up and you then exited out of a window feeling stunned about what just happened.
