This Time

Chapter 02

ALYSSA'S  P.O.V

Ano nanaman kayang ginawa nung lalaking 'yon? This is not the first, second, third...... sixth time he asked me for help. Yeah you're right. Everytime nalang may away sila ni Mika, ako gumagawa ng plano para isurprise siya and so far, wala pa akong planong di successful.

"Sinabi niya na ba sayo ate Ly kung ano problema niya?" Jho asked me. Oh I forgot, I'm with my teammates pala here at BEG.

"Yah Ly, do you really think it's about him and Mika for the nthiest time?" Amy assured.

"I think so. He won't call me at almost 12 mn naman if it's not really important. And knowing Kiefer, it's really important for him to solve their problem." I said as I reach for my bottle of gatorade.

"Come hey come hey! (Come here) Stat again ah? (Start again) Let's play'ah? 6 on 6!" Coach Tai called our attentions to start our training again.

On my team are:
Deanna, Jho, Amy, Ponggay, Jamie, and Mae.

On the other side of the court will be:
Jia, Bea, Maddie, Kim, Therese, and  Gizelle.

When the game started, the first set was ours. But on the second one, Jho's mind doesn't seem to be with her. She cannot hit the ball everytime Deanna sets it to her, I guess that's onw of the reasons why we lost the second set.

We're now at the middle of third set when I hug Jho and Deanna, to give a short message.

"Jho, focus ha? Deanna give the ball to Jho." I tapped their shoulders and went back at the back row.

Jho, being at the front row looked back at me as if asking me of I am sure I want her to to the spike. I just nodded at her and mouthed 'you can  do it'.

She's now smiling, but her spike wasn't that good enough bc Bea and Maddie were able to block the ball. So, apparently, Jia's team won.

We're all now on our way to our own locker to refresh. I chased Jho and pulled her at the corner.

"Jho tell me, what's wrong?" I said.

"Nothing ate Ly." Her eyes were locked on the floor. I lifted her head and said

"Jho I'm your ate Alyssa okay? I will always be. So just tell me. I'll listen." As a team capt, I have to comfort her so that her problem won't bother her anymore when it's already time for our afternoon training.

"Bea seemed so happy awhile ago ate Ly. Psh I don't want to tell you this cause I might look like a child brat here. Ewan ko ate Ly basta promise po mamaya sa training wala na to. Sorry"

Jho's like my little sister here. Bea's my baby besh haha alam ko naman na they're best of friends, so I don't their friendship to have a 1-inch gap.

I left them there talking to each other. I know they can fix it naman in no time.

After refreshing.....

"Ate Ly, labas ka na. Anjan na si Manong." Jia said.

"Ha? Sinong anja--" I was about to ask Jia kung sino tinutukoy niya but someone helf me on my wrist and drag me to his car.

"Bye coach! Thank you ulit!" Kiefer said goodbye to coach Tai whoch made me shock.

"Okeh okeh you tek care'ah?" Coach Tai waved his right hand.

At the café

NARRATOR

Right after their foods were served, Kiefer started the conversation.

"Ly Mi---" Di natuloy ni Kiefer yung sasabihin niya because Alyssa already did it for him.

"Let me do it for you Kief. You didn't mean to remain silent while she's talking to you and she got it wrong and now she's not talking to you na. Am i right?"

Then Alyssa took sip of her juice and a bite on her burger. Kief remained silent bc of what Alyssa's said.

"Mag salita ka nga Kief. Baka mag tampo rin ako sa'yo." Alyssa said as she looked straight in Kiefer's eyes and giggled.

Don't look at me in that way Ly please I might forget what we are. I might forget that you are my bestfriend.

Well, Alyssa has been Kiefer's long time crush. Pero para sakanya, crus lang talaga. Alyssa knew about Kief's feeling towards her but it didn't affect their friendship.

Kiefer thought to himself. He avoided Ly's gaze and smiled.

"Yeah you're right Ly. Haha can you help me?"

"Alam mo naman na di ako tatanggi sa mga ganyan mo diba? Haha."

So, she played her role again — Kiefer's bestfriend.

Hint for the next chapter

KIEFER'S P.O.V.

First time tong nangyari. First time na hindi nag work yung plano namin ni Ly. This is the first time that I felt betrayed. I felt cheated. I was about to give up. But there was Ly, she helped me to rise.
