This Time

Surprised

NARRATOR

Before Kiefer went to his class, he contacted first some of his teammates and Mika's. He bought a boquet of white roses and green balloons.

Alyssa suggested Kiefer to surprise Mika in her dorm. Because in their current case, Mika will surely not accept Kief's invitation if ever their plan is to surprise Mika somewhere else.

They both believe that Mika will just stay at their dorm after their training. Kiefer's kinda busy right now because he still have classes he must attend until 4:30 pm and training from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, but it didn't stop him to prepare the things he needed.

During his free time, which was just 2 hours — from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, he grabbed the chance to go the stores where he can find everything he needs.

He even skipped his meal just for this. For Mika.

Now, his Prof is currently discussimg their topic but Kief doesn't seem to be listening. He's watching their room's wall clock, waiting for the time when his Prof will finally say good bye.

"So I guess this will be the end of our class this day. Good bye class" Prof. Santos said and went out.

Kief immediately went out as well after packing his things. 27 mins later, he is now at the BEG with his co-Blue Eagles.

"Hey bro, you ready later?" Von asked his best buddy and handed Kiefer a towel.

"Yes bro. I think I am." Kiefer answered with his head down.

"What do you mean you think Kief? Is there something wrong?" Pauly joined the conversation.

"I don't know. Well I wish wala naman. But really tol, something's bothering me. Sana di maulit yung dati." Kief said and still staring at the floor.

"Aaaahhh! Shit." Kiefer cussed, pinipiga niya ulo niya using his hands. He looks really confused.

"The last time I felt like this was when we almost said our 'goodbyes' to each other eh. Was when we almost broke up." Kiefer continued.

"Chill bro. Baka naman you're tired lang or... uhm or..." Von was thinking for a better situation that could make Kief calm.

"Or baka walang lumabas kagabi sa pag ano mo bro... sa pag, sasabihin ko ba? Alam mo na yun hoy!" Here comes Pauly. After saying those words, Kief giggled a little which means Pauly did great.

"Well yeah, maybe. Haha basta bro ha? Mamaya." The blue mamba said.

He also reminded his squad about the plan — to paste the printed letters on the Lady Spikers' dorm's door which says, "Please Come In And Talk To Me"
To help him prepare the food for everyone and decorate Mika's and her roommates' room with balloons.

After The Training

Katatapos lang kinausap ni Kiefer si Alyssa through phone call. Sinabi niya kay Ly lahat ng about sa nafifeel niya which is confusing him.

Alyssa did nothing but just encouraged Kiefer. She is not able to witness the surprise she has planned. Bc of that, nabawasan yung confidence ni Kief that he will make this and it will work out.

"This is it. There's no turning back this time. Di ko kayang galit sa akin si Mika, sabihin pa nating simple lang pinagmulan ng away namin, pero di ko kayang di niya ako kinakausap."

Kiefer took about 5 mins before going out of his car. As he enter the dorm, Cyd approach him and said that mika texted her awhile ago.

"Kief iprepare mo na yung iba. Tinext ako ni Mika kanina, pauwi na daw siya." Cyd explained.

"Sinong kasama niya Cyd?" Kiefer's kinda curious now.

"Uhm.. she ah.. she went outside eh. Sinundo siya kanina, I don't know if sino sumundo eh. Kay coach lang nag paalam." Cyd said shrugging.

"Pero kulay black tung car. May kilala ka?" Ara said.

"Ay baka classmate niya. Si Xena. Uhm sige thank you ha? Kianna, Kim, pwede pasama sa room niyo?"

Kianna Dy and Kim Fajardo, being Mika's roommates went upstairs with Kiefer.

"Kuya Kief, nandun na sa room namin si Majoy, niligpit niya pa niya kalat niya. Nakakahiya daw eh haha." Kianna informed Kiefer and burst out laughing.

"Ah osige. Loko talaga na Majoy haha"

Pumasok na sila sa kwarto nila Mika. Napansin ni Kiefer na magulo pa yung kama ni Mika so he went near to her girlfriend's bed and was about to fix it when he found out that their framed picture on the bedside table was not there.

So he tried to look for it but instead of seeing their pictures together, nakita niya yung pictures ni Mika with Andre Fuentes. The guy Mika has been telling Kief since they started arguing because of simple things.

Tears are now falling from his eyes. A light flashed through the room's window which made him took a glance outside the window.

He felt a stab in his heart when he saw Andre got out of his car and opened the other side of the car's door and there he saw his lady with a boquet of flowers and kissed Andre on the lips.

"Shit!" He exclaimed why crying.

"Kuya Kief what's wrong?" Majoy asked when someone entered the room.

"Kief."

He faced Mika with his facee full of tears.

"Please tell me you are not cheating. Please."

"I won't lie to you anymore Kief. I'm sorry."

He faked a smile and said

"So all of these stuffs (reffering to the balloons and flowers) were here to surprise me. (Fake laugh) Thanks Miks, (sobs) I was surprised."
