Julianne's POV -
After a restful sleep, I woke up rejuvenated. I didn't know why but I felt slightly relieved that I spoke to him about Jay Jay. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and put my hair in a ponytail before going downstairs.
I heard some voices as I was going down. I didn't really think about it that much because it was probably my parents talking about business. When I got downstairs, I passed by the couch and went into the kitchen. My mom was already making waffles and they smelled heavenly.
I gave mom a kiss on the cheek and said, "Good morning."
She casually replied, "Good morning darling."
I went to the fridge to get the syrup. When she finished making the waffles, she asked, "Honey, can you go call the men in the living room?"
I didn't even notice that there were men in the living room beside my dad. Well, I guess we know now of how awake I am this morning. But I smiled before replying, "Yeah sure, let me just set the table and I'll go call them."
I took out the syrup from the fridge and set it in the middle of the table. Next, I took out the plates from cabinet and placed them on each placemat. I took out forks and knives and set them next to the plate. I filled up the water glasses and set them on the placemats.
I went into the hall and suddenly hear a familiar laugh along with my dad's. I walked into the room just to make sure that I wasn't hearing anything. I mean afterall he came to my house yesterday and left in the night. Why would he come back unless he forgot something.
I cleared my throat and both the men turned to look at me. My dad smiled while Jayden was looking at me wide - eyed. His jaw was slung off his mouth and he discreetly looked me up and down. It was very awkward.
I looked down to see what I was wearing. Well... let the ground just swallow me up! I was wearing my pajamas: a tank top and a pair of shorts. The shorts were really short. I bet my face was like the fire truck.
I cleared my throat before saying, "Umm. well breakfast is served."
My dad's face lit up and went into the kitchen. Jayden was still in the same spot as before. I started to make my way upstairs while keeping my face directly towards the ground so he couldn't see my red face.
Stupid table leg! I was falling back. I really hoped I didn't injure my head on the table or something.
I was stopped short of falling and opened my eyes to see what happened. Jayden caught me. His dark brown eyes intensely looking into my face. They were a wonderful shade of brown. I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful eyes. His mint breath fanning my face and I could smell his scent. It was a wonderful mix of detergent and some kind of men's wash. His lips were a beautiful pink shade i could never forget. His hands are strong under my hands that I am using to hold myself up. His hand is touching my bare waist. Wait a minute... bare waist?
I looked down to see that my tank top has ridden up slightly revealing my stomach and waist. I don't think my red face could take anymore of it. I don't know how much time has passed but my dad from the kitchen area shouted, "Guys come on. Let's have breakfast."
Jayden and I returned to our senses and he let me up. I ran up the stairs to change into something more decent than tank top and shorts. I really hope my dad didn't see us in that position, otherwise I would have a lot of explaining to do. I splashed some cool water on my face to cool down my face. I changed into some sweatpants and t-shirt.
I went down to join for breakfast. I took the seat across from Jayden as seeing that was the only open seat. My waffles were already in my plate with some melted butter and syrup. I dug in because I was starving. I just ate really fast not wanting to seem to be taking forever. I was always a fast eater in my family.
