Jayden's POV -
The weekend passes on without anymore heart stopping moments. I want to go back to Julie's house, but it would seem like I am too clingy. But i have been thinking of plans to convince Julie to come to India with to see Krish's wedding.
If she says 'no' then I guess i will have to go alone but I really want her to come as well.
I drive up to the building and hand my keys to the valet, so they can park my car. Usually I would do it, but today I was excited to see Julie. The front desk girls smile and giggle at me, but I just simply wave my hand at them so it is polite. I take the elevator up to my office floor and get off from the elevator and walk to my desk.
I notice that Julie isn't here yet. I was a little sad because she is usually the first to come to office. I return to my desk and start looking at my schedule for the day. It looks like I have a meeting with 3 different clients to go over some products and publish some stuff.
It was 8:15 and Julie is still not here. I know that she is never usually this late, so I started to get worried. I pick up my phone to give her a call to make sure everything is alright. But as soon as I dialed her phone number, she came into my office looking a little frazzled.
Her hair wasn't as neat as it usually is, and she also seemed a little out of breath. But everything is forgiven as she brought my coffee. While I take the cup from her, I ask, "Who so late today?"
She replied, "I woke up late and to that there was too much traffic on the road, as someone had an accident. To add to that mix, the coffee shop had an unusually long line."
I sipped my coffee and nodded my head. Since there was a lot to do today, "Alright, Let's get started with today."
I sipped my coffee and nodded. She left the room to bring back the files corresponding to each meeting. She works really efficiently and I don't have to repeat myself several times before she gets the message.
We both did our work for like 30 minutes before going to my first meeting. She paid attention to each and everything that was being said and wrote down what was important. At the end of the meeting, she did a recap of all the things that happened during that meeting.
At around 10:30 AM, the meeting was over. Julie went to her office to give me space to talk to our investor about somethings. I lead him to the elevator, so he can be escorted down to the lobby and to his car.
I went back to my office to get some work done before the next meeting. An hour into my work, Julie came in with the printed notes that she hand wrote during the meeting to over them. I told that she can just file the hand written notes, but she types them up anyway.
Personally, I think she always does an amazing job, but she says that she wants to make sure she wrote down the important things. Once she finishes reviewing them, I say, "Go ahead and file the notes."
She nods, and leaves the room to put the notes in the folder and filing that folder away.
Another thing about her that I love, is that she never complains about the work and she works hard. She doesn't let her personal problems get mixed into work. She keeps them separate.
It makes me wonder about what would happen if I told her that I was Jay Jay and she was my JuJu. Would she still continue to work here, or would she quit as she doesn't want her work and personal life to mix? That would be a story for another time.
Around 12:00, Julie came into my room. She asked, "Hey Jayden. I was going to get lunch, would you like something?"
I answer, "Yeah sure. Some pasta would be fine."
