Jayden Gallant POV:

Yesterday was probably my busiest day since I started working as the CEO of the company. My dad recently resigned, making me the CEO of the company. My NEW secretary was always a pain in the butt. She never listened to anything I say. It was so irritating.

I could fire her but my dad and mom particularly like her. I can never understand them. I hated her and I even gave her a warning that if she doesn't work properly, then I am going to find a replacement.

You know what she did... She lifted her head up to me and smirked, "Haha, that's very funny, but you can never find a better person than me to replace."

It infuriated me to know that she thought she was better than and I was the CEO. She has my parents support, but I was determined to find a better secretary than her. So I put out the advertisement for that position.

This time I didn't want my staff to look into it because they always had a bias of rich snobby people as my secretary. They are secretly trying to hook me up to a person in my time here. I wanted to look at the applications personally and then I would hand the person over to my staff to make an appointment for an interview.

As soon as I put out the advertisement, I got approximately 50 applications. I sat down and started to read each one of the applications in great detail.

I got through the first 25 and they didn't appeal me at all. They were all the same, there was not uniqueness to the applications.

I went down to go get lunch before finishing up the other 25 applications. I saw my best bud Maximus, but he goes by Max. We knew each other since I went to college with him at Yale. He saw me and we did the bro handshake before getting in line.

The ladies all around me were looking at me like I am lunch special. It really bothers me that they think so low of me. They were trying to be subtle but I noticed easily. I let out a huge sigh, that was not unnoticed by Max.

He turned towards me with amusement in his, "Ladies again...?"

I let out a huge sigh again before replying, "Yeah, it's like they have nothing else to do."

"That's cuz they have nothing to do."

"Whatever, I just want to grab lunch and go finish up the applications."

Max looked to me with curiosity, "Applications?"

"Yeah, I am finding a replacement for my secretary, Paula. She is always irritating and never gets anything done."

"Ahh, I see but don't your parents have a thing towards her as your secretary?"

I let out a sigh again, "Yeah they do, but they can't blame me if she isn't doing any work and just fooling around. I do have a company to run and get things done."

He nodded with understanding, "Yeah, I understand where you are coming from. So have you looked at any applications?"

"Yeah I did. I looked at 25 or so before coming to get lunch. They were all boring and the same thing over and over again."

"Well, I hope you find the right secretary. What else?"

"Thanks man! I really hope so too, so I can actually get some work done. But nothing else. What about you?"

"Nothing much really. The computer problem is still there and it needs to be fixed soon."

"Nice. I know you will get it sooner or later. Just keep trying."

He was always really good at computers, even though I can't stand to look at them. Maybe that's why I need a new secretary so I don't have to make the calls myself and do everything myself. Or anything with a computer with a matter of fact.
