Chapter 9

We talked a lot about our lives,our hobbies and our future life wills.

After some time,my phone rang.It was Viv this time,I looked at my phone's screen but I rejected the call.It wasn't time to talk to her,plus I didn't want her to come with us or something.

She texted me suggesting going for a walk but after reading the message I left it unanswered.Angel could see something was going on and she knew I was trying to ignore someone.

"You can pick it up,I don't mind." she said.

The phone was ringing again so I did pick it up.I'm bad at ignoring people anyway.

"WHAT?" I answered.

"You're not good at ignoring and you never were,you should practice on that a little.First rule;we don't read the messages by clicking on the app,we just see them from the notification bar so it doesn't appear as seen."

I smirked and interrupted her "Yes you clever girl,why did you call me though?"

"Oh come on,you saw the message.Shall we go for a walk?But are you out already?Cause I can hear people talking."

"I'm with Angel,currently enjoying my latte."

"Where are you?I wanna come there,you probably got the reason."

"We're at the cafeteria close to our school,you'll meet it if you cross the school."

"Sweet!I'll be there in a while."
She hang up.

I looked at Angel with an annoyed but apologetic look at the same time.She had understood what was going on and she had an annoyed expression on her face.

"Great,we'll have a visitor." I said while rolling my eyes.

"I know I'm going to the bathroom for a second,be right back." she stood up and headed there.

I was also annoyed by Viv.What was she doing?I know,she was jealous and she probably wanted to make sure we won't do anything but that had ended up odd.She wasn't my mum anyway!

Angel was being late so I started worrying that she maybe left or so.At that moment she went back,took her bag and said "I gotta go,see you.Have fun with Viv." She was very cold and dead serious.I just waved goodbye and followed her with my eyes until she got out of the cafeteria.

I waited for a while when I saw Viv coming in.She looked at me weirded out because I was alone while I was supposed to be with Angel.She sat on the chair and looked at me happily.

"Where's your new friend?"

"What's wrong with you Viv,what the fuck?"

"What did I do?"

"It's usually considered to be rude if you self invite you know."

"Yes,but I thought you wouldn't mind as long as I'm your best friend and she's just a new friend of yours.Why can't I meet her as well?"

"If I wanted you here I would have asked you to come."I said cruelly.

"Look,I've had some information about Angel and she's the opposite of an Angel.I want to protect you,I love you and I don't ever want you to get hurt."

"That's what we call jealousy now.Viv,I can protect myself,I've grown up,I've changed."

"If you were mature you wouldn't be letting your best friend who cares about you most for a girl you barely know and who has a bad rumour."

"Stand up,turn around,head to that wooden thing called door and leave." I said.

She looked at me,grinned angrily and started walking away while saying "You'll understand how right I was soon."

I started crying and after paying the bill I stood up and left.I didn't want to go back home so I just got in my car and started driving to nowhere.I ended up in mine and Viv's forest.It was the place that made me relax most.

I started walking towards the lake when I saw someone sitting on the edge of the wooden pier.I could only see a silhouette as the sun was on contrast.

I walked there and that person turned to look at me.It was her again.Viv.

She said nothing and turned to look at the lake again but I sat next to her.

I did the same thing as she did.I looked at something undefined somewhere far from here.Our looks were lost as we were gazing at the beautiful sunset.It was breathtaking,the scenery,the colours the sun creates when it's combined with the reflection of the peaceful lake.I wish I was a sunset.People would look at me and admire me.People would travel to look at me.But I would always look so peaceful and silent,like society has no effect on me.And when this sea or lake got wavy I'd give it special beauty.I'd make things look beautiful,calm people down and be free of responsibilities.

At that moment,my hand lead to Viv's and landed on it,getting intertwined in it and giving me the feeling that I was doing something right.It was feeling right somehow.She turned and looked at me apatheticly.Her eyes were like the blue of that lake.But this time the lake was wavy and full of sadness.This time the sunset had caused this sadness.

It needed to make the lake peaceful again and that was it's first and last responsibility.
