Jealous, were we?

**You & Dan are friends, only recently started becoming more friendly/flirty with each other. You decide to go with him to a playlist party as Phil isn't feeling good so he stays in his hotel room. You start to flirt with other guys and Dan suggests leaving early**

Y/N POV

You knocked on Dan's door, he knew who it would be. You stood for a second before a half dressed Dan arrived at the door.

"Yeah excuse the toplessness, I tried to grab one before I opened the door but didn't work out and I didn't wanna keep you waiting" Dan explained, motioning you into his hotel room. 

You laughed and as you walked in, grabbing a nice looking shirt, turning around and throwing it at him. He chuckled back and finished getting dressed. You knew what he was like, he always took half an hour longer than the time he told you. It was half 8 and you were fine with being a little later as you never liked to show up to a bare party. You flopped down onto the bed but immediately sat up. You looked at Dan as if to say; 'is it alright if I sit here?' and he nodded, to which you flopped back down onto the bed. 

You laid there thinking about who would be at the party, how much you were going to drink, if at all and you also considered what an acceptable time was to leave the party. You loved your bed comforts.

*time skip 30 minutes* (Still Y/N POV)

Finally you arrived at the party, after Dan procrastinated and slowly got ready for the party. You were wearing a body-con, aztec style dress with some Converse. It was a simple outfit but it made you feel great and most importantly comfortable. You and Dan stood around with a drink chatting for a bit, other YouTubers came and said hi, others stayed to talk for longer. Dan was catching up with Louise when you decided to slip off and get another drink. Slowly, you walked over to the bar and asked for a J2O because you didn't want to drink too much alcohol. You noticed Zoe, Alfie, Marcus, Joe, Tanya, Jim, Tyler and Connor all stood around chatting. As you hadn't really seen them you decided to take your drink over and catch up with everyone.

Dan's POV

I noticed that Y/N had gone to get another drink. I was chatting away with Louise before I realized that she had been gone for a while. I tried to distract my mind and my feelings and continue catching up with Louise but she could tell I was distracted.

'Dan, urh are you alright??'

'Hmm.. huh.. urh yeah, just seeing how busy the bar is so I can get another drink in a second'

Louise saw straight through my lie but I think some-what decided to pretend she thought it was the truth. Mine and Louise's radar would go straight off if she thought anything bad would happen, so all was fine. Louise decided that she was going to go catch up with Joey and Cat and I said I would go to the bar to get myself another drink. As I slowly walked over to the bar, my eyes darted around the room in search of Y/N. I saw that she was getting close to Joe.

Y/N'S POV

Catching up with Zoe, Alfie, Tanya and Jim was nice. But what was nicer was talking to Joe and Marcus, knowing that they were single pringles just like you. You were more fond of Joe out of the two, you had good chemistry and the same humor. You were snapchatting on Marcus's story, when Tyler pulled Marcus into the dance floor for a twerk and hip wiggle. Tyler was always up to that sort of mischief. You and Joe got more chatty and harmlessly flirty as the night went on. He just had a natural charm about him that made you connect with him.

After a while of standing and laughing at Joe snapchatting people at the party, you decided to go find a quiet corner to sit and chat. You found a sofa in the corner of the big room, it was a chilled event so there were sofas and comfy chairs everywhere. Joe began talking about YouTube in general and how well PlayList was going this year. This was your second playlist and you loved it even more than the first time. Joe moved in, to sit closer to you. You felt really relaxed and knew that wherever this was going you would be fine with it.

"Y/N!!!!! THERE YOU ARE" You heard Dan shout as he approached the seated area.

"Urh yeah hi Dan, you okay??" you replied, asking in an urgent, 'leave me alone' tone.

"Yeah I was wondering if we could go back to our rooms now?" Dan said bluntly

Being so put on the spot you agreed. You went to get up but before you did you whispered in Joe's ear. 

"I'll message you and we must do this again, maybe just us though?" as you pulled away you kissed him on the cheek and left with Dan.

The elevator (lift) ride was very awkward and silent. You decided to ask Dan why he was being so blunt when he came up to me and Joe.

"Urgh I don't know, because I wanted to go back to my room?" He replied, bluntly again. 

You let out a big sigh and when the elevator dinged for your floor, you quickly left as if you were trying to escape. You didn't even look back or think twice to see if Dan had followed, you didn't really care. When you got to your hotel room, you pulled the keycard from out of your bra. You put it in and barged into your room, with anger. You didn't know where this anger came from, you just needed to let it out. As you went to push the door shut behind you, you felt someone push it open. In appeared Dan.

He stood there awkwardly for a second before coming into the room properly. You walked over to the bedside table and put your phone and the keycard down.

"Well, aren't you going back to your room? You were the one that wanted to leave after all" You said, in an obvious way that you were annoyed at him. He just stood silently and looked at you. This made you more annoyed. Sighing, you began.

"Why did you interrupt us Dan?" You asked, trying to remain calm at his rude silence.

"I... urh..." Dan stuttered.

"You urh what Dan???"

"I wanted to tell you that you looked good tonight" Dan finally announced. 

You were slightly taken back by this compliment after his bluntness.

"Well thanks but that doesn't exactly answer my question" you said, persisting with the question you wanted answered.

"I didn't want you in the company of Joe when you looked that good. I wanted...." Dan stopped speaking half way through his sentence after realizing what he had said. You stood, shocked at what Dan had just revealed. Was he jealous of you and Joe?

"Jealous, were we?" You quizzed in a cheeky, flirty tone

Dan looked down, then moved his eyes from the floor and up my body till you both made eye contact.

"...Maybe"
