"Could you write an imagine(you can pick if it's smut or fluff it doesn't matter to me) about the reader being a mermaid and then finding Dan somehow?"

Life was going well, for once. Though a few minor worries kept arising but for the most part, life was pretty good. Your secrets, remained secrets and everything was well hidden. Your new relationship was going well, which was probably because it was still new. But hey, you tried not to be pessimistic. For 4 days of the week, you stayed at your boyfriend Dan's shared apartment. You loved spending time with him and being able to be comfortable around him so easily but there was just a small issue that kept arising. 

You and Dan had a pretty active sex life and though things were great in the bedroom, he would always make suggestions that really made you on edge. Though you loved his ideas and his sexual creativity, there was one idea that he really couldn't let go of and it really panicked you. You had managed to brush it off every time but your anxiety raced each time he brought it up again because you knew he wouldn't keep accepting your excuses. 

He wanted to have shower sex. Now why, you ask, is that an issue? When your a mermaid, it is an issue. You are all human 99% of the day, but showering and bathing would send your body, from your knees down into part mermaid. Though it was very pretty and you actually enjoyed being part mermaid, it restricted you from going swimming or even getting caught in puddles in the rain. 

Though you loved it, you knew other people would not and would definitely find it weird. Previous relationships had not lasted long enough for you to have to worry about telling the other person and it is only really your parents who know, other than yourself. It wasn't that you didn't want to tell Dan, you just didn't want to ruin something so good, when it didn't need to be ruined. 

"Y/N" Dan called you through to his room. 

You walked from the kitchen, after making a hot drink.

"Yeah?"

"Have you showered yet?" He smirked as your body snuck around his door, closing it softly behind you.

Your face became pale as you knew what he was suggesting. You shook your head quickly and sharply, looking down at your warm drink. 

"Good, put that down and let's go" Dan said huskily, as he leaped up from the bed. 

"Bu-t I've ju-s-t made this" You stuttered, glancing at Dan and then back at your drink. 

"Owhh, y/n, come on" Dan begged as he tugged at your free arm. 

Your body shook as Dan tugged at your arm, causing you to spill the drink over you. 

"Fuck sake, now look at me" You huffed.

"Perfect reason to shower then" 

Dan tugged at the hem of your loose fitting top, pulling it over your head after you had place down the cup. He then followed by taking his top off and leading you to the bathroom. He bent over, turning the taps on for the shower. Your mind began to race, hearing the water run down the wall and into the plug made your thoughts crash, making you unable to think straight. Dan continued to undress in front of you before he was completely naked and stepped into the shower. You stood, blankly as you tried to gather an excuse. You failed, you felt you were too far into the situation to back out now and with Dan's chocolate, lust filled eyes looking deeply at you, there was no turning back. 

Dan outstretched his arms, motioning you towards him with his hands. 

"In you get"

You gulped, shaking your head softly. 

"I can't.." 

Before you could continue, Dan's arms were around you. Pulling the remaining clothes off you and pulling you into the shower. Once you were in the shower, Dan moved closer to your naked body. Attaching his lips to your neck and your jawline. 

You froze, you could feel it happening. The all too familiar tingling from your knees down to your ankles, where you felt your feet joining and your skin turning into a shimmery *colour of your choice* scaley pattern. You felt yourself internally screaming "stop" as Dan continued to try and get you going when that was the last thing on your mind. 

"S-s-top" You choked out, in a whisper like tone. Dan didn't listen, so you tried saying his name this time.

"Da-an" You stuttered again, a little louder this time. 

Dan stopped, looking deep into your eyes. Your tear brimmed, e/c eyes. 

"What.. What's up?" Dan quizzed, as he stroked your left cheek with the back of his fingers. 

Your eyes glazed down to your feet, well your mermaid form. Dan's eyes following slowly after yours. 

"I'm s-so so-o-rry" You stuttered, as tears rolled down your cheeks. 

Dan didn't look surprised, if anything he looked at you kindly and softly. Shaking his head at your apology. 

"Don't be silly y/n" He wiped your cheeks as your tears were flooding down your face. 

"It's okay..." He pulled you into a hug. 

"...I still love you" He finished, whispering into your ear. 

You pulled away, sniffling and wiping your eyes. You blinked a few times to clear your blurry, tear vision. 

"You love me?" You choked out. 

Dan nodded. Pulling you into a passionate embrace and kiss. 

"And I love you even more now" he motioned to your mermaid form. 

"It's cool" He smiled softly, as he continued to hold you tightly, with the water cascading down his back.
