⚡🌀Third person POV 🌀⚡

"oh, come on Spock. She'll be fine, she can handle herself. I mean, you saw her in training room; she can fight if she has to." Jim reasoned with the concerned Vulcan from his place in the captain's chair. Spock was not easily convinced though.

"Alright, communications are up and I'm ready to go captain." Came the lightly accented voice of Lt. Kei over the COM.

"Remember, the natives will be extremely hostile if the discover you. And God damnit, be careful Rav." The captain replied, half expecting the sarcastic comment that quickly followed.

"If were not being careful, you telling me to be careful, would not make me be careful." Small chuckles came from around the bridge and even spock gave a proud half smirk.

🌀Lt. Raven Kei POV🌀⚡

"Energize." I spock firmly as I drew the hood of my disguise over my head, concealing my identity. When I could once again see my surroundings I was on the border of an alien civilization's 'city' as you may call it.

Upon entering I observed the indigenous people of the planet. Most wore hooded cloaks like mine but those who showed their faces and bodies were quite fascinating; greenish, reptile- like skin, solid black eyes and eyelids that twisted shut; almost like the shutter on a camera used in the twentieth century. They all carry weapons ranging from a primitive bow to a phaser type gun, making me quite nervous as I was left to only my hands for weapons.

I proceeded through the town, towards the temple that served as a home for their ruler and held the very thing I was to take from them: a diamond belonging to another tribe on this planet. It was accidentally taken when it was found far from the tribe's temple and now it is my responsibility to return it to its rightful owners without getting killed.

🌀Enterprise 🌀⚡

The bridge crew, including Bones and Scotty stood anxiously, listening as Raven gave quiet details of her location as the planets atmosphere was giving off to much static to properly track her. Suddenly the lieutenant rather loudly cursed in Vulcan and the sound a phasers blasting drew the attention of the crew. Spock's stomach flipped at her distress and he stepped forward. The Vulcan, though he still found emotions to be illogical, deeply loved the lieutenant and would be lost without her.

"Enterprise to Kei. Are you alright?! What's happening?!" Jim called into his COM.

"They caught me! I've got the gem but they're all over me!" She was obviously trying to stay calm but her heavy breathing and slight panic in her voice gave her away.

"Captain! I cannae beam her up! There's to much static!" Scotty's claim caused Spock's worry to heighten.

"Okay, hold on Raven! We can't beam you up right away! Remember, stay alive!" James failed miserably at hiding his panic but quickly regained his composure.

"That statement was completely illogical Jim." She puffed. "'stay alive.' No I'm just going to let them kill me." You could practically here the crew rolling their eyes but Spock momentarily grinned. Their amusement came to an abrupt halt though, when Raven gave a disgruntled, muffled scream.

"Raven! What's wrong!?! What happened!?!" The whole crew was holding their breath and Spock shaking wildly.

"The bastard- shot me!" She gasped between words and let out a pained grunt. Spock's legs became weak and he sat down before he fell.
