Extreme randomness here.

"Hey, boy." You said as you pinched Patrick's belly with your hand which caused him to jump and gasp in surprise. You bit back your laugh as you walk past him to grab the huge pack of plain white marshmallow you bought and have been itching to eat.

"Geez, a tickle could've been really nice and less rude." He said.

"Whatever. I love your stomach, Patrick. Oh and your thighs too. You can't do anything with that."

"Gross."

You turned to him, shoving two large marshmallow inside your mouth and chewing it, savoring its softness and sweetness. "Now that is rude." You said, pointing out to what he just said seconds ago.

"You know what's rude? Not sharing that marshmallow with me."

"No, you can't. Diabetes, remember?"

"But I eat sweets sometimes." He whined. "Please, just one?"

"I'll buy you a sugar free one then."

He groaned. "Why are you such a mom?"

"A doctor too." You added mockingly, "and it's because I care. I do that too to my mom. She has a gout that's why I'm very strict especially when we eat outside. No legumes, less meat and poultry, no peanuts or anything that would trigger her gout or caused her uric acid to rise." You explained to him.

"I understand and I'm grateful for having such a mother hen best friend like you but I can handle myself." He tried convincing you.

"Sugar free, and you shut up." You finalized as you grabbed your car key but then he gently grabbed your arm.

"You don't have to. I was just being stubborn."

"Yeah you were, but that's alright. Wait, how do we even have this type of conversation? It's kinda scary." You admitted, forcing a humourless chuckle.

"You care that's why." He replied, smiling. "Um wanna watch a movie instead?"

Your eyes lit up in excitement and nodded since your mouth is occupied with huge mallows. You somehow managed to chew them quickly and swallow some so you could speak. "Wait, can we watch Quarantine?" You asked.

"Ew, I hate that movie. It stresses me out." He replied.

You chuckled. "Yeah me too. It doesn't have an ending, like a nice ending. You know when I first saw that movie I thought someone's going to find the cure but then they all just got infected and nobody survived. But hey the second part of that movie was kinda nice. You've seen it?"

"I guess?" He replied a little hesitantly as he tries to remember some scenes. "Wait, in the second part, a young boy survived right?"

You nodded. "Yeah, yeah. Let's watch it again!"

"But that movie is stressing!"

"We can go out on a walk later."

"Just not to the airport, okay?"

You chuckled. "Yeah, that movie changed the way I look at planes and terminals and rats."

He nodded, agreeing with you as you settled on the couch while he inserts the DVD on the player and grabs the remote as he settles beside you.
