Safe for Now....

Hospital Trip

We got to the shore and Sydney was asleep in my arms. Zara was still unconscious. I carried Sydney into the hospital set her on a couch in a waiting room. I told Seth to watch her. I went with Zara to her room. Her clothes were dry now but her hair was still wet and messy. I asked the nurse if I could brush her hair and she handed me a brush. I undid her two French braids and brushed her hair gently. The tangles came out easily. Her hair was so soft it was unfair. I have always wanted hair like hers. It's easy to work with.

"Your sister will be fine she hit her her head on rock when she fell out the boat nothing serious" the nurse said.

"Thank you that's good. When should she wake up?". I ask.

"A few hours. Why don't you bring your other siblings in so you can all rest on nice comfortable bed." She said.

I went back to the waiting room to get Seth and Sydney. Seth was watching tv and Sydney was still asleep. I picked her up and told Seth to follow. In Zara's room I put Sydney on a bed and started talking to Seth.

"Zara will be fine just a bump on the head." I told him.

"Oh that's good." Seth said. After a minute of silence he added. "So ummm do you like that Coast Guard worker?"

"What?! Why would you think that?" I asked.

"I know you. I saw the way you looked at him. He looked back at you with that same look in his eys." Seth said.

"You really think so that he looked at me like that?" I said.

"A ha I knew it. So do you have a date with him yet?" He asked.

"Well yes and no. He offered to show me around the island but I told him you guys would have to come too. I told him why too, about our mom I mean." I said.

"Well go on I can take care of them." Seth said.

"I don't know. We can talk about it in the morning it's 11:00 and I'm tired.". I said.

We went to bed but for some reason I couldn't sleep I never can these days.

I'm stressed out. I can't get my head on straight. All this pressure and responsibility on 14 year olds shoulders. It's to much I'm going to go crazy!

After not being able to sleep I got up and went to the balcony. It was nice night, the moon was out the stars twinkled in the sky. The street below was busy with cars. Still the night was quiet no horns honked. I sat and thought about our situation while looking at the beautiful view. In middle of thinking I was startled by Zara.

"Alice where are we?" she asked.

"Zara, You're awake. We are at a hospital because you hit your head and were unconscious for quiet some time do you remember any of this. Falling out of the boat." I said.

"Umm not really I remember cold water that's about it." She said.

"Well you remember something that's good go on to bed you need rest." I said.

"Oh ok." she said sleepily she didn't hesitate to go back to bed.

I was relieved to see Zara awake and walking. Seems that's all I needed to calm my brain and fall asleep because when I sat down in the chair on the balcony I fell asleep.

Sadly my peaceful rest came to a holt when I had a terrible dream. About the shadow. This wasn't good most of my dreams come true. It was the most horrifying dream I have ever had. The shadow got in Bermuda and made me suffer by killing Zara then Sydney. Then they kidnapped Seth and when I found him they killed him right in front of me. Next they were after me then I woke up. I started crying I wanted to tell Seth but I didn't want to scare him. I was going to do everything in my power to stop this before it happens. My first step is to figure out who is controlling the shadow who is the Shadow Master and why does he hate my family.

A/N: Hey guys I'm sorry I haven't updated my internet is messed up word of advice if you live in the country away from the city don't get Charter I'm not sure how it works closer to the city but were I live it sucks so..... Well hope you like it more is on the way. I am trying my best to update quickly but with volleyball and school and 4 other stories it's a lot of work check out my other books Forgotten and it's Sequel Parent Hunt I haven't published anything in Parent hunt but it's coming. My other book The House At The End of the Street I'm working on I think I'm going to type up a lot of chapters then update it all at once but I'm not sure and check out my friends and my account Perfectgirls_1999 and our book The Most Epic Story Of All Time (I didn't pic the name).
