Safe for Now....

Chapter 5: check in

"Alice, you're up early." Seth said.

"Yes I am. I couldn't sleep last night. To much to think about." I said.

"I know, I could barley sleep last night too." Seth agreed.

"I finally fell asleep after Zara came to the balcony. It was a relief for me to see she was ok. I fell asleep shortly after for a few hours anyway." I said.

"Yeah well are we going to get a hotel today?" Seth asked.

"Ya got any good ones in mind?" I asked.

"How about the Bermuda Sweat on the sea shore. I here it's a good place to stay. But if we are going to live permanently than we probably need an apartment, and a school for for Zara Sydney." Seth said.

"Dang you thought about this a lot. Well right let's get a hotel for now. We don't want Sydney and Zara to be rushed into things. Not to much change all at once. Then an apartment and a school.". I said.

"That's good I agree. When do you want to wake the little munchkins?" Seth asked looking at them.

"Well it's only 6:30. So we can wait for a while. the doctor probably wants to give Zara another check up so we can wait till they wake up" I said.

"Ok The hospital has a few board games and puzzles. Want to play some?" Seth asked.

"Sure do they have chess?" I asked.

"Ya I think so I'll to get it." He said walking off.

Seth and I played chess for a few hours before Sydney and Zara woke up. I called the doctor in to give Zara another check up. Zara didn't want another, she didn't see why she needed another. She said that she felt fine. I told her it was to make sure that the doctor didn't miss anything the first time.

"There is no serious damage just a bump on the head. She will get head aches easily for the next couple of days. Just give her some Tylenol and she would be fine." The doctor said.

"Thank you." I said.

We checked out of the hospital and got a cab to the hotel. I watched as the people walks outside as happy as they could be. Not worrying about a thing. I wish that was me out there with my siblings. it would be nice not to have to worry about everything and just be normal. People say normal is boring but right now I'd rather be normal than running for my life being confined to one place not able to see the world. and Zara really wanted to go to Paris but now she cant.

Finally we got to the hotel, I payed the taxi driver and we went inside. I got our room (room 504 5th floor) and took the elevator up. In the room there where 2 beds with blue and white bedding. There was an oakwood night stand with a beautiful white lamp next to each bed. The curtains where dark blue. Across from the beds there was a big flat screen tv sitting a huge oakwood dresser with 10 drawers in it and extra pillows on top. There also was a desk with a computer on it.

The balcony was a fairly descent size with a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach.

The bathroom had marble topped counters and a little white toilet. There was a walk in shower and a big bathtub. White towels hung from from a bar next to both the shower and the bathtub. Above the sink was a huge mirror.

"Alice! Alice! Can we please go to the beach?" Zara asked.

"Ok but not for long." I said.
