The teacher discussed the topic in class.
But, I can't seem to hear anything.
Animus.
Every voice around is dead-muted. It was bizarre yet fascinating. Fairies, as small as my thumb, appeared out of nowhere. They ablaze and flew around the classroom leaving some hints of glitters onto the thin air. The silence was replaced with few giggles, yet no one seems to bother. No one in the room can see them. Except me.
Suddenly, giggles turned to screams. A spiral of light appeared in the white ceiling, seconds after, became a cyclone and the fairies were sucked by it. All the fairies were gnawed and the cyclone exploded for an unknown reason, later became a bunch of golden butterflies.
Before I knew it, the bell rang. And the butterflies disappeared. It was sudden like how it appeared. Everyone stood up and bid goodbye to the teacher. And then, it was loud again.
I have no other reasons there and those people are still strangers to me.
"Yo!" I felt an arm on my shoulder.
"Adri."
He's a senior, only a year ahead of me. Also the school's president.
"It's none of your business. Besides, you still have paper works left and some business to do, yet, you're still concerned about me?"
His mouth gaped. "That's the longest words you've ever said to me." "Just messing with you and don't be mean, we're friends."
"When? I'm not informed."
"Ouch." He chuckled. "Anyway, I'm here to tell you something."
"Spill."
Lumapit siya sa 'kin at bumulong. "I can tell you some clues on— how to open the gate to Animus."
