The Academy's Ace

After Combat Class, we went back to our room and waited for our General Knowledge Class teacher. Since she's not yet here, the room is loud and everyone is doing their own thing. My eyes scanned the whole room as I felt like someone's looking at me and I caught a glimpse of Reanah glaring at me.

"Ang galing mo pala sa combat, Yelena!" sabi ni Cyclone.

Lumingon si North sa amin at ngumiti. "I told you she's a hidden gem."

"Pa'no mo nalaman?"

"Lucky guess." Tumingin siya sa akin at may binigay na libro. "Cyclone said you're fond of books. If you want to learn, that book will help you learn more about magic."

"Thanks."

"Problema mo, North? Hindi ka ganito ka-friendly sa pagkakaalam ko," sabi ni Cyclone.

Nagulat siya nang may librong lumipad papunta sa mukha niya. Napalingon ako kay North na nakangiti pa rin na parang wala siyang ginawang masama. "Just ignore him."

"Para saan 'yon?!"

"That's a sign that you have to shut up, idiot," sagot ni North sabay balik ng tingin sa harap.

Napasimangot na lamang si Cyclone habang hinahawakan ang ilong niya. "Pasalamat ka, gwapo ako."

"Why don't you throw it back at him?" pabulong na tanong ko.

Tiningnan ako ni Cyclone na nakanganga at para bang may mali akong sinabi. "Ayoko nga! Nakakatakot kaya magalit si North. Magluluksa ang buong Animus pag-namatay ang gwapong tulad ko!"

A gorgeous woman entered a room, wearing a dark blue gown and a crown on her head, matching her wavy long hair colored like dark chocolate. Ngumiti siya sa amin at bumati. "Good morning, everyone."

Everyone greeted her back politely and showing some respect for the queen.

"I am Queen Yna of Verania, your substitute teacher." She smiled once more, showing warmth to everyone. She seems to be good at making everyone comfortable with her and getting people's hearts as well. "Since your General Knowledge Teacher traveled to the other side of the world, I will substitute for a while."

"She's the Commander's mother," bulong ni Cyclone sa akin.

"Who?"

"He's the Strongest Student of Enchant Academy and is depicted as the Ruler of Darkness. He's also labeled as the Academy's Ace and is feared among students," sagot niya.

I see. Napalingon ako ulit kay Queen Yna at pinagmasdan ang ngiti niya. That smile seemed familiar for some reason. 

She proceeded in her discussion and talked about Animus' current affairs. General Knowledge Class talks about topics we need in order to survive in society and prepare us for the future. It consists of Basic Math, Conflicts of the Animus, and more.  I'm not really interested in the subject, so I turned my head on the window and watched the view outside.

The class soon ended and we have our break. Lumabas ng magkasama si Cyclone at North at nagpaalam sa akin. Everyone's stares were suffocating me, so I soon went outside, wanting to find a spot with no people. I walked in the hallways and heaved a sigh. People were still looking at me wherever I go. Every time they notice me, I hear automatic murmurs and people gossiping about me even when I'm around.
