"Are you ready, Yelena?"

We both stepped in the gate. I glanced at her and nodded.

"Portam."

A blinding light filled the surroundings. The gate slowly opened backward. I felt a huge amount of force and tightly closed my eyes. Ang kakakaiba, wala akong naramdaman na kahit anong pagkahulog nang bumukas ang gate. My body stayed still, but there's a tremendous force.

Dahan-dahan kong iminulat ang aking mga mata. The beautiful view of a new world welcomed me. Rainbow colored birds flew in the sky, the trees were dancing with the wind, and I'm surrounded by mystical creatures. Magkaiba na magkaiba sa Mortalis na kinalakihan ko.

"Fascinated? You've only seen the 1% of Animus. Pero, hindi pa natin 'yon malilibot. Kailangan mong tuparin ang pangako mo. Mag-aaral ka sa Enchant Academy."

"I have one question." Lumingon ako sa kanya at tiningnan siya ng mabuti. "Why are you insisting that I enter that school?"

Her lips curved up. "I told someone in Mortalis to look for people who are worthy to study in Enchant Academy. You got chosen. I've been watching you all this time, dear. Your curiosity and depth of knowledge are outstanding. I also heard you're good at weapons and fighting hand in hand. You're exceptionally talented. I cannot waste such luck finding a one in a million."

I glanced at Am— Headmistress Amaris. Earlier, she insulted me and told me I'm a 'bad omen'. Now she's complimenting me saying I'm a one in a million.

"I don't have magic."

"Don't worry, time will tell. Possessing magic isn't the only thing you can have to be called exceptional. You're meant to be there, Yelena."

What does she mean about her last statement? I shrugged it all off. Hindi na 'yon mahalaga. I have to focus on what's more important.

"How do we get there?"

"We're already here."

What is she talking about? I don't see any signs of the academy she's talking about. Lumingon ako nang makitang may tinuturong kung ano si Headmistress Amaris. Something took my attention. An emerald flower that shines among other flowers. I took a step closer and observed it.
