Run Away

Chapter 17

"Tara?" I heard. "Tara?" I heard it again. I looked up through the tears to see my Mother's face. "Mom, I don't know what to do. He hurt me, us." I say. "Tara, he may not have always been there for you physically. But he was there in spirit. He did this all because he loved you. He loves you Tara."

I jumped awake. I sat in thought of my dream, my Mother's words, everything. I was interrupted by a knock on the door. I looked at the clock that read 6:00 am. I walked to the door and openned it to reveal Reece.

"Hey. I just came to see how you are....you know with everything last night." He said. "I'm fine....Hey do you know where the General is?" I ask. "I'm the field I think." He says. "Okay....Um tell everyone I won't be at breakfast. I'll meet them out there." I say shutting the door before he could ask any questions.

I slipped my boots and jacket on before walking outside to see my Father. I immediately saw him talking to a crew member. I approached him as the person walked away.

"Hi." I say. He looks at me and gives me a saddened look. "Hey Tara, look I completely get that you don't want to forgive me..." He says. "You mean do." I correct him. "What?" He says. "I do want to forgive you. I realized you left out of love....not hate." I said with a smile.

"That's very nice of you Tara." He says. "I...love you Dad." I say. He smiles. "I love you to Tara." He says. We returned smiles before I began to help him set up for the big day.

Hey guys!! So short Chapter I know. But it was short and sweet. Anyway I am gonna start working on Chapter 18 and there's gonna be lots of action. But to warn you, I'm not good at writing action scenes so we're both in for a surprise.
