Mark's pov:
A couple passed by. I wonder what its like to experience the world in color. Both seemed incredibly happy and admired the colorful world me and I'm sure many people can't see yet.

I ran my hand over the bench I sat on. Nothing was wrong except how it is colorless. Like everything else I see.

I can never tell if the sky is clear. Its always a dull gray in my eyes.

~

"Suck it!"

"Nooooo!" Jack yelled out.

What would video games look like in color? I zoned out for bit then I could hear my name being called out.

"MARK!"

"Wha, yeah?"

"You seem out of it, y-you ok buddy?" Jack toned down his voice.

"No I'm fine!"

~
"Its nice to have you here Jack."

"Yeah...." Jack gazed up at the sky.

"Its all gray...." Jack rubbed his arms.

"Like always... but having a friend lightens up the mood."

"I'm surprised I haven't gone insane yet." Jack lowered his head.

I darted my eyes back and forth and bit my lip. I wrapped an arm over his shoulder.

Seán's pov:
Mark pulled me closer easing the pain. "Thanks...."

"One day in our eyes will be color."

I did the same with my arm and rubbed his back.

Mark kept staring at the ground then back at the sky. I looked at him out the corner of my eye.

"Mark?" I widen my eyes.

"Yeah?"

I bit my lip and kept my mouth shut. He'd wouldn't feel that way.

"Nevermind."

I'm afraid to tell him.

~
Mark's pov:
"Ready?"

"Yeah." Jack took one last check and confirmed he was all packed.

We chatted, share some stories and laughs as we headed down the to the airport.

Near the end we kept silent. I helped him with a few bags as we drove in.

Each step made my nerves worse. We were nearing the gate. Jack didn't even turn his back to look at me.

We stood just looking at each other.

"I know he's it...."

"I know it...."

"Mark." Jack balled his hands into fists.

I stared right into Jack's eyes.

Blue appeared.

I stepped foward.

"Mark?" Then his eyes widen.

"Your eyes have... color."

"... Yours do too!" Jack began to realize.

Color appeared on Jack's hair. It was brown.

"Your hair...." Jack leaned in.

Slowly color covered Jack head to toe. The color traveled to his shirt to his shoes. His skin had color. It was a creamy color.

"Your hair is black... your in color." Jack dropped his bags.

"Mark." I could see the tears build up in his eyes.

"Jack." I manged to croak out.

Both of us didn't know what to do.

Jack stepped forward and I did the same.

"Is this happening?"

"Yes."

Jack immediately hugged me. I coiled my arms around him.

"I didn't think my best friend would be my soulmate. I thought it was just a silly crush...."

"I knew I loved you. I was just a pussy about it."

Jack chuckled. I smiled back at him.
