Author's Note: Sorry I haven't uploaded for a while: I've been writing another story, too. Go check it out if you haven't already.
"Numb".

It was quiet for a while, nobody was really speaking much and Miss Frank was doing something on her computer. I became bored. I started, once again, to wish Mia was in this lesson.

Searching for something to kill my bordem, I looked around the room. My eyes came to Lexi: and despite the fact that we may have only just- possibly- become friends, I felt we had been friends for a while. And I guess she was a cool enough person to socialize with, anyway.
I ripped the back page from my book and began to write. It was only going to be a simple note or something, but at least then I wouldn't be so bored.

'I'm so bored.'

I scribbled it down, signed my name and screwed the paper up into a ball. Before sending it off, I made sure that no one was looking. When I was sure, I threw it at Lexi.

As soon as the paper left my fingertips, I regretted it. Lexi would go mental. She always does when someone says or does something to her...

Great. I'm done for. Stupid. I told myself as I watched the paper ball fly at Lexi's head. Seconds later, it crashed into her and bounced off her dirty blonde mane.

"Ow!" She suddenly burst out, acting quite dramatic about the scene. She looked around the room; her face florid from anger. Her fists were slightly clenched and she looked just as angry as she always would when something like this happened.
I started to realise how stupid I really was, and my face began to brandish a worried expression.

Lexi noticed me almost immediately.
"Was that you?" She signed to me as her face became a little calmer. I nodded at her and mouthed "Sorry".
She forced a somewhat smile and opened up the paper. After a few seconds she began to snicker, then she started to write something back.

Throughout this whole event, Shaggy was silent. Besides the occasional sniff or giggle.
I turned to check if he was still awake- breathing, even. He was only just awake.

Once again I decided to make a stupid mistake. I spoke to him.

"Hey, um..." I said in a loud whisper while leaning towards him a little. He didn't move, he only sat in his standard way: leaning back, legs out as far as possible, arms folded loosely, earphones in while slowly head bopping.
I repeated myself.
"Hey..."
Still nothing.

I eventually became bored and decided to give in, which happened to be when I had a ball of paper storming towards me. I caught it.
Lexi was quite impressed; she gave me a satisfied look and nodded. I smirked in triumph.

I began to open up the paper.

As I did, Shaggy finally spoke.
"Yo... Dude, like... That's like, groovy... Man..."
I looked at him, somewhat disgusted. I felt bad, but Goddamn did this guy give off the strong scent of weed.
"What?" I asked him as calm and I could.
He laughed a little and then pulled out his earphones. He probably meant mine and Lexi's throw-and-catch; but this is a grass smoking, giggling hippie. He could be talking about anything.

"You're like... friends with that chick?" He asked me.
"You mean Lexi?" I asked him, still unsure. He nodded, looking like his head was about to roll off.
"Yeaah... Like... She's hip, like... She ain't no candyass."
