My birthday was Monday, so that threw off my plan to update this Monday. Also! I'm updating now in honor of @itakudaimasu who has given me a lot of funny reviews. I really appreciate your dedication! So this chapter goes out to you!
I climbed in through the window again and shut it quickly before anybody woke up. Ben was still asleep. Good.
I quickly made my way to the bedroom door and slipped out. I shut the door behind me and went to the kitchen. If everybody was going to wake up soon and find that I was already awake, I might as well make breakfast for them so it would seem less suspicious.
I got out the eggs and bacon. Getting out a pan, I turned the stovetop on and cracked an egg. Maybe I should make toast, too? I was feeling surprisingly better after eating that Pecha Berry. Speaking of which, I grabbed one of the Pecha Berries that Kira gave me and took a small bite out of it.
I continued to fix a bunch of eggs, followed by a lot of bacon before I put the toast in the toaster. Since nobody still got up at the smell of food, I started cleaning up around the house, making sure to leave Leanne's organized chaos alone.
I swept the floors, dusted the halls, and I even tidied up the bathroom. I threw Ben's ruined clothes in the wash. I emptied out the dying flowers out of the vase on the table and went to get some lovely lavender flowers to put in their place.
I set the table and folded the napkins, just for the appearance that I wanted to make this breakfast special. I was just beginning to juice some Sitrus Berries when I heard a door open and saw Ben come out.
He was rubbing his eyes and already in his uniform. Yuka was laid over his shoulder, still half-asleep.
"Good mornin', Dweeb." I teased, juicing the berries. "Sit down and I'll fix you a plate."
Ben yawned and nodded. He looked around, clearly noticing a difference around us. "Wait, how long have you been up?" He asked.
I opened my mouth, ready to say 'I never went to bed', but refrained. "I got up not too long ago. I took a shower and decided to clean up a little." I said.
He didn't seem to notice my little white lie. "Oh, okay." He said, shrugging it off. "So... Have you talked to your sister recently?"
"No. I figured I'd let her enjoy her vacation. She probably wanted to visit my grandma. We'll visit her soon, just not now, y'know? We gotta stop the Pinchers, after all."
The toast popped out of the toaster. And I put it on a plate for Ben, then put more bread into the toaster to make some for the rest of my 'family'. I finished making the Sitrus Berry juice and set it in a pitcher on the table.
True to my word, I fixed Ben a plate and set it on the table in front of him before fixing my own plate. "Should we go wake up the others?" Ben asked.
"Nah," I waved his suggestion off. "They'll be up soon. They need a little rest."
"You wanted to go to the market and the old mansion, right?" He asked.
I nodded. "I love that mansion." I admitted.
"We could go visit your sister..." Ben started.
"Later, Ben. We've got plans today." I told him. Truth be told, I was kind of nervous to see my sister.
I leaned over from my spot next to Ben and said, "I thought Jet's leg was broken, but he can limp on it. Eevee's chest is kinda bruised, but I think she didn't break anything." I shrugged. "I was just in a panic when I made those assumptions."
Ben nodded. He started to respond, but we heard a loud screeching noise and loud pounding outside. I recognized the screechy voice.
"SUMMER TOLD ME TO YELL, SO I'M YELLING! I'M YELLING LOUDLY!"
As soon as I processed those words, I had to remain serious and look confused, but all I wanted to do was laugh until my sides hurt. Drapion was a piece of work.
"What was that?" Ben asked.
"I don't know, but we should go check it out!" I said, feigning ignorance. "Then we can come back and finish our breakfast."
We hurried outside and, sure enough, Drapion was visible from the woods, looking like he was throwing a hissy fit.
"Is that a Drapion?" I asked, pretending as if I didn't already know the answer.
"Looks like. What is it doing here?" He asked.
I shrugged. "Regardless, we should probably capture it so it'll stop causing a ruckus." I said, darting into the woods before Ben could say anything. I winked at Drapion. Make this look good.
"Capture on!" I cried, shooting the Capture Disc out. Drapion attack much faster with his claws, but always stopped attacking when he got too close to hitting me. His poison spikes were always either slow or shot in the opposite direction from where I was standing. Soon, I was able to 'capture' Drapion. "Capture Complete!"
I locked the Capture Disc back into my Styler and Ben finally started walking over. I pretended to scold Drapion and made a show of pretending to release him. "He doesn't want to go!" I told Ben.
Ben shook his head with a grin. "Everyone loves you, don't they, Summer?" He teased. "Let me guess... You already have the perfect nickname for him, don't you?"
I shrugged. "I was thinking Drapir."
Drapion gave me an amused look. "Drapir?"
"It's close to Drapion, alright?" I huffed at Drapion, or Drapir.
"Why was a Drapion in this area?" Ben asked himself out loud.
"The Pinchers were probably around and riled him up." I shrugged again. "Let's go back and eat breakfast." I said, wanting to drop the subject.
Ben was a little suspicious of Drapio— Drapir, but let it slide for now because his hunger got the better of him.
Side note for everyone: should I keep Drapir or write him out? I mean, I have a little in store for Drapir, but I wanted to know if you liked his addition or not. Or, actually, if you had a different name suggestion.
One more thing... Is there another Pokemon you'd like to join the story? If so, PM me and tell me the Pokemon. If you have a name or idea in store for the Pokemon, tell me that, too.
