When we arrived at the party, it was in full swing. Mandy, two girls from down the hall named Azia and Tiffany, and myself all got ready in our room. After a swift trip to Target to get some new flat sheets, make-up and vine hair accessories, it took us nearly an hour and a half to get ready. Luckily, Azia went to retrieve her full length mirror from their room so we could have two of us getting made up at once. We used almost a whole box of safety pins to make sure our togas were lifted and pulled snugly in all the right areas. Azia did all of our make-up since she was practically a pro with her mother being a cosmetologist. While Mandy did our hair, making sure the vine was intertwined perfectly between each of our selected hair styles. Before leaving the room, we took a vast amount of pictures and selfies, making sure we'd have this night cataloged in our phone forever.

"I can't believe how packed this place is!" I yell over the music into Mandy's ear. She looks at me and shakes her head in agreement. Luckily this fraternity had a larger house from the past ones we've been too, giving us ample room to hide if needed. I know I reminded Mandy, Azia and Tiffany about ten times while we were getting ready and on the way over to the house to be on the lookout for him. They all nodded in agreement to appease me even though I was still worried the entire time.

We all sauntered over towards the large kitchen where at least ten large green tubs filled with ice and every kind of beer you could imagine were lined against the walls. The counter tops were lined with multiple types of liquor, while two kegs were out in the back yard.

Mandy and Tiffany grabbed beers out of the tubs while Azia and I poured glasses of premade, overly liquored margaritas. I knew they would be strong when Tiffany made a face after taking a sip. I laughed and took a drink, knowing all too well that if I didn't have a drink in my hand, the girls would be handing me one. Their mission tonight was to get my mind off of Eric and to have fun.

A little over an hour into the party, Mandy was doing keg stands with the guys while Azia, Tiffany and I were playing an intense game of flip cup. Our team of six had already beaten three other teams and we were waiting for the fourth to line up.

"Come on guys, hurry up so we can kick your ass already!" I said a little too loudly. While everyone else had been playing with beer, I had been playing with honey whiskey. Throw that on top of forty five minutes of continuous margaritas and shots, I was lucky I could still form a coherent sentence.

"Look at Kailie being overly confident." Mandy said, laughing as she made her way over to us. I turn around to give her a hug and she hands me a shot instead.

Looking at her hand, I start to laugh. "Another? Are you trying to make me blackout or what?"

She gives me that smirk that I know all too well. The one that says I'm trying to make sure you have the time of your life. Giving her a slight nod, I take the shot from her hand and down it. I can feel the slight burn as it goes down my throat with no chaser.

Letting out a breath, I look at her and smile. "Thank yaaa Manndddyyy. You're the besttt!" Being drunk made my southern accent thicker and my words drawn out more. All Mandy can do is laugh as she leans in to give me a hug. I throw my arms around her neck and giggle. Suddenly, I feel her stiffen and she slowly pulls away from me, holding me at arm's length.

"Kailie, sweetheart, I'm going to need you to listen to me really carefully okay?" her voice is calm and her deep brown eyes are intense as they stare into my unfocused jade green ones. "I just saw Eric walk past the back door so we need to find a way to get you out of here unnoticed." I can only feel a small wave of panic due to the overabundance of alcohol in my body and for some reason, in this moment, all I can do is laugh.

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" I laugh loudly and look up at the night sky. "This is seriously my luck. I try to go out and have a good time and Karma comes to bite me in the ass for lying to him. How much fucking worse can this get?!" I shake my head and try to look beyond Mandy to see if I can see him myself. I feel like I might as well just walk right up and come clean about being there instead of trying to hide it from him. I'm sure someone will tell him I'm here anyway.
