"What are you talking about? You're not leaving for a few days?"

"No, I'm not. Christ, how do I say it?"

"Don't think about it just say it."

"Fine. I'm leaving for a few months."

".. Why?"

"I have to think about things. But remember that I love you. Always. Forever and ever."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"This is some cliche shit."

"I know." They chuckled.

"I wanted to get her something nice," Tate said. "I still got the money for it."

"Dude," Nick said. "She dumped you. Why get her something?"

"I don't know. Have you ever felt so attached to someone that even after they hurt you, you want to still be their everything?"

"No, but it doesn't seem like you are anymore."

"Fuck off." Tate said to Nick. He lifting his arm and flung it towards his direction. "Let's go to the mall. I'm gonna get her something."

"What if she doesn't want it?"

"I'll give it to you."

"Don't get a dildo then."

"Funny."

When they left the house, a big chuck of cold air slapped them across the face. The snow was still around them and the sun was covered by white balls in the air. Tate walked down street with Nick, avoided the snowy obstacles in their way and crossed the street. The sky was grey-ish and not blue like it used to be a few weeks back. As Tate hurried to the bus stop, Nick was struggling to stay behind. "Hey, wait!"

"No time," Tate commented. " If we get there quickly, we can make it to school on time." He paused. "Or get there a period late. The bus is right there, come on!"

"What are you going to do? He's in all your classes." Tracey asked Alex. She flipped her black hair behind her.

"I don't know. Just act like friends. We said we would." Alex repiled.

"Bullshit," Tracey basically yelled. "No relationship can end and be, 'just friends'. It's basically, 'Yeah, let's be friends that never talk.'"

Alex chuckled. "Basically but I don't know. He seemed cool about it."

"Now, why do you have his sweater?"

"It's cold today, jeez."

They walked into the building and made their way to class. They passed their friends with "Hey"s and "Sup"s and "HUG ME"s. The school's wall paint was brand new and sent off a smell that Alex hates. "Oh fuck." She hid her nose in Tate's sweater and took a huge sniff. She closed her eyes and let Tate travel inside her. She opened her eyes and bumped into her Social Studies teacher. "Oh! I'm sorry, Mrs. Benny."

"Oh, it's alright. Just keep yours eyes open next time." Mrs. Benny said and walked into one of the class rooms. Blushing, Alex quickly walked away and made her way to the third floor. "God, if he's here, it's going to be awkward. I'M gonna be awkward." Alex thought as she walked up the steps. Her shoes made a tap noise which she liked to hear. As she approched the door, she looked through the window to see if Tate arrived; he did not. She turned the doorknob and she heard his voice.
