Annoyingly In Love

Chapter 7

Toby

I sat at my bed biting my fingers while waiting for Tim to inform me what he wanted. I huffed as blood began to emerge from my fingers.

"Hey Riley! You want some blood?" I called out while standing up and exiting my room.

"Blood?" Riley inquired as she finished tying her boots downstairs.

"Yes Miss Fortune, your lucky blood." I replied sarcastically, making my way downtown- I mean downstairs.

I squeezed my finger as more and more blood began pouring from my hand. "Here Princess, have your daily dose of luck." I murmured and held my hand out to Riley.

"Um... No thanks." She mumbled and instead began taking off white bandages that were wrapped around her hand, that were supposed to go under her own gloves.

She took my hand and began wrapping the said material around my hand and fingers tightly. "You really need to break that habit." Riley stated.

I heaved a sigh, "Why? I can't feel anything what's the big deal?"

Riley pulled the brown leather glove off her right hand once she finished nursing my hand, then removed the bandages.

"Well for one, you could cut yourself and leave DNA at a scene for police to find. Then they'll be onto you realizing that you're alive and suspect that you're the one killing."

I blinked and nodded, "Smart."

Riley stared up at me, before she could say anything, Tim entered. "Toby, Riley, can you guys go and get some things for us?"

I groaned, "Can't I just go alone?"

Riley scoffed, then Tim interrupted our soon to be dispute. "No. Go get spray paint, milk, bleach, and this medication." He handed me a paper with writing I couldn't make out.

I turned the prescription to him, "What's this?"

Tim blinked, "Don't worry about that just go get it."

I shrugged, "Whatever." Turning on my heels I pushed Riley back into the couch. "Lets go Princess."

I retrieved the keys from the counter. Riley stood up behind me and followed me out. We got into the crimson pickup truck and I got into the driver's seat meanwhile Riley called shotgun.

I started the truck and put the car in reverse, pulling out of the driveway. Riley kicked her feet up and went over the list.

"It's been so boring at the cabin lately, we need to do something fun." Riley commented as she folded the paper and shoved it into her back pocket of her dark blue jeans.

I gripped the steering wheel tightly, "Agreed." I replied loosening my sudden grip.
I thought of the endless things we could do... We could kill people, we could throw some party, we could visit the Under Realm, we could do so many things, but instead we're stuck here doing absolutely nothing.

Riley bit her lip, "Wanna go steal stuff?"

I blinked and shrugged, "Yeah, sure, why not. What kind of stuff oh fair princess Miss Fortune?"

Riley cleared her throat, "Me and Chloe used to steal champagne. But honestly, I want some candy."

I eyed Riley, "You have no bag and your female pockets can't fit anything."

Riley scoffed, "I know damn pockets are useless, sometimes we don't even get pockets."

I laughed at her, "Hah! Really? Sucks for you. You still haven't answered how you were gonna take candy though."
