M & H's Tree house

"Mom, I heard what happened between you and Ariel's Dad. Why did he lash out on you like that. You don't deserve that kind of treatment" Henry yelled.

'Wow he is really upset about this he never yells, especially not to me. It must be something else wrong.'

"Henry I'm fi..." I said just before he cut me off

"Mom, no your not fine, you have a bruise on your cheek and on your shoulder!!!!" he yelled through his tears.

"Henry..." I started as I walked and sat on his bed and wiped his tears.

"No !!! Mom I won't stand here and watch you get hurt while that man gets to live his life unharmed, without consequences!!! Does Mark know what happened to you? Did he do anything to..."

"Henry stop. He was arrested and will be in jail for a long time, so you don't have to worry about me. These bruises will heal, and Mark knows and he checked on me as soon as he had the chance. He made sure I was okay before I even got home. All the way home he was apologizing about what happened. So Henry yes I may look like I got abused but I'm okay. But seriously tell me, is there anything else that's bothering you?"

"No", he yelled as he got up and ran out his room, down the stairs and outside

I got up to follow him but my phone rang. I looked at it as I walked down the stairs and it was Mark.

"Yes Mark"

"Regina are you okay"

"I'm fine. But Henry isn't and he just ran out the house. I was just talking to him because when he came in the house from school he ran straight upstairs with out saying a word and I was worried that something was wrong. And all at once he got really upset and ran out" I said as I walked quickly down the front lawn "I've gotta go. But I don't think I will be able to come to dinner tonight. Not with Henry upset." I hung up and started running to the one place where he always goes when he's upset; His tree house.

Far behind my mansion is the woods and I own that land so when Mark and I started dating, Mark wanted to do something for Henry and sense his father passed Henry didn't like to be around people. So Mark decided to make the tree house their project as bonding time so he can have a father figure. So when ever Henry gets upset he likes to run down there and think, cry, play or what ever he feels like doing.

I finally made it to the tree house and there he was sitting to the top stair of the entrance to the front door. When I finished climbing the thousand stairs and sat next to him.

"So, what do you want me to request today or do you want me to cook instead of Snow?"

"Can you make some of your famous lasagna?" he says as he finally looks up into my eyes

"Sure only if you can tell me whats going on and what caused you to run out like that"

"Okay, well, at school today so many kids were up to me and yelling at me because the six flags trip was canceled. And during class they threw stuff at me and said that you were a bum, and a horrible mother. I knew those things weren't true but it just bothered me that people can say so many harsh things about somebody that they don't even know."

"Henry, don't pay attention to those kids. They don't know what you know about me. Many people say I look and act like the Evil Queen but we both know that I'm not. I just use what they say about me and I make it work in my own benefit. Now I'm the most respected women at Reign. SO take those insult and make them work for you and if you can't just try and ignore it."

"Thanks mom, now I was promised lasagna, lets go" he says happily as we both get up and walk back to the house. But while we were walking I heard something as we passed through the gardens. I sounded like someone was singing. But I guess it could have been one of my gardeners.
