After that disaster I call christmas eve me and micah spent christmas morning opening presents. I enjoyed the happiness on my munchkins face as he tore open one gift after another. I was almost sure micah forgot all about the fight me and king had or so I thought.
When I mentioned going to spend christmas day with king he glared at me and shook his head. Even though micah is 2 he's very smart for his age which means I shouldn't underestimate him.
"Well if you don't want to spend christmas with daddy do you want to go to grandmas?" I asked him. Micah smiled and nodded his head.
It was decided then. After opening gifts I packed me and micah a bag. Might as well stay for the rest of christmas break until I go back to work.

A few days before new years
"Micah come on I have to drop you off to grandpa robert" I called out. After spending christmas break with my mom it was finally time to go back to work. My mother offered to keep micah after I explained the current situtaion to her but I refused. It was important that micah spend time with his dad's family.
I knew he would give me a hard time about going to tracey's or king's so I decided on the next best thing, Grandpa robert. Surprisingly micah happily agreed to spend the day with robert. Maybe because he hasnt seen robert in a long while since he's mostly been around tracey.
"Ok mommy, I'm ready. Do you think granpa will take me to the park?" Micah asked sweetly. With that puppy face of his I was pretty sure he could get anything he wanted.
"I'm sure if you ask nicely he'll take you" I told him. He smiled and grabbed my hand as I opened the door.
When I opened the door king was standing on my doorstep. Oh great....
"Hey angel" he said quietly.
"Hello king" I said dryly.
"I was wondering if I could get micah for the day. I have today off so I wanted to take him to the park or something" king said.
Before I could respond micah cut me off." No I don't want you to take me. Grandpa robert is taking me" he said.
"He's hanging out with robert today?" King asked.
"Yeah he asked to see micah and micah didn't have a problem with it" I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Well how about I drop him off to robert. It gives us time to talk" he said hopefully.
I could see in kings eyes how desperate he was to reconcile with his son. I sigh." Sure. Micah daddy's gonna drop you off to grandpas" I told my son.
Micah frowned and stomped his foot. " no mommy I want you to take me" he yelled.
"Listen here little boy these tantrums stop right now. You know better than to act out. Your going with daddy and that's final " I said sternly.
"Sorry mommy. I'll go" micah said sadly. I leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"Thank you sweetie. Be nice to daddy ok? He's really sorry for what he did to me. So make up with your dad" I whispered so only he would hear.
"Will that make u happy mommy?" He asked.
"Yes it would munchkin" I said smiling.
He nodded his head and walked over to king." I'll forgive you daddy. But only if you pwomise to be nice to mommy" he said sternly. I laughed at his pronounciation of the word promise.
King smiled and leaned down. " I promise buddy. Does that mean you forgive daddy?" King asked him.
"Yes" micah said.
King picked him up and kissed his cheek." Thanks buddy. How about we go get ice cream before we go to grandpas?" King said.
"Yay. Can I get choco?" Micah asked. For some reason micah always called chocolate choco.
"Yup. Whatever you want" king said.
I crossed my arms. " seriously king its 10 in the morning. Its too early for sweets" I said.
Micah rolled his eyes." Don't be such a buzzkill mommy" he said. Me and king stared at him in shock before king and micah busted out laughing.
"Yeah mommy don't be such a buzzkill" king said mockingly.
I couldn't help but to smile." Whatever "

King's pov
It felt good to have my son back. After getting some ice cream we made our way to roberts house. When I pulled up to the house I saw uncle robert standing on the porch with some woman. She had her back turned so I couldn't see her face.
After parking the car I grabbed micah and exited the car. Micah hopped out of my arms and ran to robert. "Micah be careful. I don't want you hurting yourself" I called out.
At the sound of my voice the woman turned around. I froze in place when I saw her face.
The mystery woman was my mother.
